What's that definition again? "Unable to read fuckin' english"?
What's with these assholes that associate a dislike of same-sex relationships with fear? The problem I originally had with this whole scenario was the association of homosexuality with the Mounties. It tarnishes a Canadian institution. Its kinda like glueing a huge dick on the Statue of Liberty. You just could never look at it the same way again. For me, I now think all cops are gay.
So you believe two gay mounties getting married "attaches" homosexuality to the RCMP - and that is bad. Why? Aside from acknowledging that the RCMP, jobs and duties aside, are merely a reflection of society, what's the problem? Is an interracial mountie couple marrying a problem because it attaches multiculturalism to the RCMP? What about a mountie groom wearing a turban?
The very fact you object so strenuously and crudely to someone "attaching" homosexuality to the RCMP (which is a stretch at best), despite the fact there are OBVIOUSLY a percentage of mounties (and teachers, and politicians, and construction workers, and military soldiers, and.....) who are homosexual, points out that you ARE, in fact, homophobic. Your dislike is based on an illogical and, well, just plain silly foundation.
Dislike of a minority becomes fear of a minority when the dislike leads to aggressive, hate-filled diatribes against them. You can choose to voice your dislike, and that's perfectly okay. When you cross the line to insult, de-legitimize, and incite hatred against a group, that's when it becomes objectionable. That's why there are limits to free speech in a civilized society. That's why minority groups receive some level of government protection under the law.
And by the way, I can read fucking english - I just have trouble with bigoted, dumbass, narrow-minded english.
