I just came across this hilarious episode from a Stones show.
Press the play button at the bottom of the video player twice.

Owww ... That's gotta hurt.
At the same time, you've gotta give the boys credit for keeping the show going.
Mick doesn't miss a beat and Keith even had the presence of mind to turn the guitar down before swinging it.

Ya that was hilarious. Funny there must be a couple of back up players cause I don't think the music missed a beat.
keith is playing lead: listen for the distinctive 'da-da, dadada, dadadada, da-da, dadada, dadadada ..."

the others are playing rhythm and base and have no reason to skip anything.

No I wouldn't think they would. But I did miss the change in sound. Me and my tin ear, :)

I'll listen again.

you can hear the riff in the background while Keith is swinging his guitar,
but when he plugs back in, turns up the volume and starts to play,
you can hear him playing the lead riff.

these guys are on autopilot most of the time ... watch the concert
at Altamont when the Hell's Angels are beating Meredith Hunter to death
in front of the stage and Keith is playing Sympathy for the Devil until
Mick tells him to stop ...

Ahhhhh......memories. https://perb.cc/vbulletin/images/smilies/wink.gif

This was the beginning of the END OF THE INNOCENCE.

I saw them in Toronto a couple of years later. The warm up act was Stevie Wonder!! My friends and I had scored some weed at Rochdale earlier on and we managed to navigate unscathed through a phalanx of scalpers and Toronto`s finest. It was ALLRIGHT!!!https://perb.cc/vbulletin/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
