And why not ? I think thats bloody brilliant ! It might make members think twice about what they post. I'd vote in favor of making that part of the conditions of signing up. Stay respectful, post intelligently, be factual, no flaming, etc. A serious breach in the MOD's opion and you run the risk of getting your email addy exposed publicy.

Could someone please tell me why Happyguy was banned?

Let's take a look:
(1) All he did at the beginning was expressing in this forum his particular fantasy and the apparent probable urge to fulfill it.
(2) Later on, he explained that he had never and would never do it.

Some hold (1) as true, and there are even versions in which psychological theories are used (but not cited) to explain the behaviour. Some other variations even state with high level of confidence that Happyguy had on several occasions done what he described in his post.

But, no one thinks that (2) may also be true? (1) and (2) are simply statements, whose real author and the intention to compose them unknown, written on a public message board. Could someone provide a convincing argument as to why (1) is more believable than (2), when in fact the credibility of both may well be equal?

While holding no concrete proof, people started accusing Happyguy of living out his fantasy (by the way, ad hominem attacks never strength one's argument). Where is true freedom of expression (unless, of course, this somehow runs in opposite direction to the posting rules in PERB)?

I am totally for people to be free to do whatever they want, so long as they do not in the process infringe upon others' freedom. In this case, however, the act of removing the condom without the partner's consent does violate the freedom of the partner.

Fantasy and reality are entirely two different matters. Hasty conclusions drawn based on insufficient evidence are more than likely to be invalid.

I really don't care about this happy dude. But i think when you sign up right now, there is a section that ask you if you wanna HIDE your e-mail address. So if he said hide it and the mod post it, I think it is not right. Just banning him would be enough But again, I can give two shits about that weasel.

Thank you ModWest for the clarification.

I never caught the version before the edit I guess.
In that case, then I guess the posting rules speak for themselves :)

PS I know what you are referring to as the "storm" LOL

charlieboy,

you observation is correct. Even though I was only curious (not really questioning) about this issue, ModWest displayed objectivity and non-partial attitude and focused on the issue, rather than the person. IMHO, there may be far fewer banned members if they had acted in similar manners.

Im sure its not his personal everyday email but it still could be one he uses for more than just perb.

My biggest worry is that Perb is releasing private information about its users.

What if the guys email reveals private info that someone recognizes and identifies who the user really is?

And as a user, how can I be certain that my info will never be released if I post something thats harshly worded and the mods disagree with it.

I dont see this as a good way to run the website. Ban the guy and end it there.

If I thought that this was a legit email address (and not one created JUST to create a PERB account) I wouldn't have posted it. If for some inconceivable reason it is his actual primary email account then he deserves to be spammed if for no other reason than the inconvenience he has caused me (yes mods have feelings).

moral majority strikes again

Banned?! This is an open discussion forum about prostitution for heavens sake not a televised session of the power hour. So what if the guy likes to shock? Name-calling? What's the big deal? I think it's a loss to this site that he was banned.

Between his IP address (yes I know the shit storm created by other recent bannings based on this info) but more importantly his posting style lent me to believe that he was someone who has chronically used multiple handles to be a nuisance.
Are we allowed to use that 4 - letter word.

Avarice,

I don't get it, you purposely let clients put their potentially "dirty" semen in your mouth how is that any different from a vagina?
a. I believe I've repeatedly read that she doesn't allow cim.

b. Are you implying that you've never allowed 'anyone' to ciym?
(by anyone I don't just mean clients)

Qwerty,

what I was implying was the pre-ejaculate, even if was wiped off...from what I was taught in sex ed was that even if you didn't blow your load, the possibility of pregnancy was still eminent. But orally, it's not just the semen that poses a threat. Skin to skin contact as well.

The girls would have to answer the following question: How many times have you blown a client and felt a bump or two (flesh-coloured) and heaved a sigh of relief for having the good sense to wrap and then polish the rod and then have the client say it was just a skin tag or pimple, etc? Remember, not all STDs are passed only through fluids or have very obvious outbreaks, many come in flat and flesh-coloured. And not all clients are honest especially having only discovered the spot in question that very moment or having seen multiple SPs who perform the very service he was receiving at the moment (BBBJ) hence creating a much bigger prblem if one has contracted an STD. Try to figure out the source and look at the amount of time and money wasted with what could've been prevented.

Prove me wrong.

I think ModWest may have overreacted but we should bear in mind he has feelings just like everyone else. It is quite evident that HappyGuy was way out of line, it seems to me he was out to cause trouble and ModWest tried to get even with him by posting his email. Now, while that's not the way I would have handled it I can fully appreciate the fact that ModWest was feeling frustrated by this poster and he acted in the heat of the moment. It is not unheard of on the boards to post someone's IP or email if they are causing trouble. Sometimes difficult posters demand extreme measures from the Mods. The Mods have lives away from the boards too, they volunteeer their time, they don't have time to be playing a game of cat and mouse with problem posters. On top of this, I should add that the email address in question was a hotmail account, it was not an ISP email account which might lead someone to identify the poster easily.

I am sure ModWest will take into account your feedback should he be confronted with a similiar situation in future.
