So sorry Babybelle, what a disaster! I'm be madder than you sound, but anger will come later! Retribution to this jerk would be good when you're ready. I agree with Dr Moe, cover your bases and get a rape kit done, even after a few days it can still be done. You can always file a report with the police so they can warn others. I agree going to court would suck but at least keep your options open.

Something similar almost happened to me once but the agency I worked at had a call from the Police warning us about a guy that tries to take the condom off without you noticing. I recognized him by the description the police gave but didn't say anything till he tried it and then I was ready to push him off. Turns out he was soft and weak so I was lucky. I told him to get out, that we were already warned about him and he left peacefully. I no longer offer full service partly because it allows someone to get their full weight above me to pin me down as that's what he was trying to do. If I'm above them I can wiggle away much easier, and would turn into a scratching, swearing, wildcat if they didn't give up. And that's not as much fun to pursue. As a last resort call out like there is someone else there and/or act crazy.

However, now that I am independant I have one important rule that is super easy - for first timers a number must come up on my call display, no exceptions! Even if it's a pay phone, it's a trail. Of course massage clients are always pussycats so I've never had any trouble...

Years ago right at the climax of a session in the mish position I had an elbow pop (straining a bit to hard I guess?? ;-) anyway I obviously ended up with my full weight on the girl and the resulting mix of pleasure and pain made me immobile for a bit, I also was not to coherent. Scared the hell out of the girl! probably thought i had snapped right at the critical moment ;-) took a bit to calm her down afterwards. Once she realized I was actually hurt she was ok...

But yeah you are vulnerable. I have been in a few emergency situations in my life and having a plan beforehand will help if you go over somehting in your mind then it gives you something to focus on instead of panic and you can carry out your plan .. assuming you have the strength and guts!!!

Unacceptable

It is possible to prevent it somewhat if a new thread is started for bad clients. These 2 threads can be placed at the top so that it is always visible. To avoid possible litigation by the bad client against perb or the sp in question some of the information posted can be asterisked out eg tel #, address etc.

Rape

I've been away from the board for the last month or so, but signed in and had a pm from a poster asking if what happened fit the definition of rape. First of all, there is no longer "rape" in the Criminal Code of Canada. There is assault, and under that general category is sexual assault. From what Babybelle described, I'm certain that any court (under normal circumstances) would find what happened to be a sexual assault. Depending on the john's rap sheet, he could be in for some serious jail time, or at the very least a lengthy probation with lots of restrictions. However, the police and Crown prosecutor may not be that sympathetic with a "working girl" - it more or less depends on the jurisdiction (e.g. Vancouver as opposed to Richmond or Surrey, etc.). However, if it did happen in Vancouver, the police are likely to follow up on it as they have been "sensitized" because of the Pickford case.

Babybelle, I can't tell you to go to the police; however, you need to know this: self-defence is self-defence as long as the force you use in response to the perceived threat is "proportional" to the force being used against you or the perceived threat itself. In other words, you can't kill this asshole just 'cause he was raping you. But, a blunt object strategically applied to an appropriate part would probably fit the proportionality test. I know more than one excort that keeps a charged cannister of bear spray handy - while mace is illegal, bear spray is not and is essentially the same thing. I'm sorry this happened to you, and it reflects badly on the rest of us. Let's hope this guy is "deactivated" in some way so that he no longer has a desire to abuse others in general and women in particular.
