I was there for almost a month and I didn't see a single homeless person in the street. (snip)
" China’s homelessness situation is defined by a stark contrast between low street visibility and large-scale hidden housing insecurity. Official statistics and visible street populations suggest a minimal homeless crisis, yet broader definitions that include migrant workers living in overcrowded, informal, or unregistered conditions estimate the number of homeless individuals at nearly 300 million.
Key factors shaping this dynamic include:

  • The Hukou System: The household registration system restricts rural migrants from accessing urban social services and stable housing, forcing many into informal, overcrowded accommodations on city peripheries.
  • Invisibility through Control: Homelessness is rarely visible in major cities due to strict government management, including the removal of vagrants to rural hometowns, mandatory shelters, and the suppression of public loitering in tourist or commercial areas.
  • Recent Economic Surges: Analysts and reports from 2025–2026 indicate a significant rise in visible homelessness, with estimates suggesting the population of people without stable shelter may have surged to 50 million, driven by youth unemployment and economic downturns.
  • Demographic Shifts: Unlike Western homelessness, which often involves mental illness or addiction, the majority of those in precarious housing in China are migrant laborers and young people who retain ties to rural homes but lack urban residency rights or secure employment.
  • Government Response: The state utilizes a network of rescue and management institutions (over 1,500 centers as of 2018) and has implemented rural revitalization strategies to return homeless individuals to their registered communities, though critics argue this masks rather than solves the underlying housing deficit.

Who knows, right? Perhaps there are. But I was just there and I didn't see any. Btw, I was traveling with a local and we weren't just in tourist commercial areas.

I am just surprised when you said " they are probably dumb enough to buy it" referring to the Chinese. Have you even been to China lately? I think you should try going there first before commenting. They are so progressive and modernized. Cars are almost EV and self driving everywhere. Robotic attendances in supermarkets and eateries... buildings are so futuristic and automated. I was there for almost a month and I didn't see a single homeless person in the street. Go there and compare and while at it, don't forget to pretend to be a Canadian.
yeah because the homeless are in prison.... or kicked out of the city to underground caves, or sent of to detention camps far from the foreign visitors eyes... kinda like those NAZI in germany before WW2 all the undesirables were rounded up for their protection.... when those places got overcrowded, guess what happened ---- mass murder......
97 in Canada I need your farm to make a highspeed railway track... no you say... you are forcibly moved in China.... Your bank accounts are frozen, your health care is cancelled... when the state has that much power to fuck over individuals you should be wary. the power a government has over its people (trampling on their rights) seem to be advantageous to build new things; not saying its a good thing.....

Look, that's what I saw when I was there. I have said this in an earlier post in reply to someone here. I will not say you are wrong, neither will I go to the extent of having a debate on what you're saying. Perhaps you have factual evidences you might want to share with us and not just rumours or heresy. Who knows.. You might even be right. Or perhaps, like me, you've been there recently and seen a different part of China. I was just trying to respond to the post by richierich97 who seems to be saying that the Chinese are dumb enough to buy some heavy oil or something to that effect. He instead should look at the mirror, bcoz in spite of everything, he still support the orange convicted felon, a war criminal and murderer of school children pedopotus.

Trump promised a historic deal with China. What he got was a handshake, a lecture about falling empires, and a packet of rose seeds for a garden he already paved over. The two-day Beijing summit has no major agreements or breakthroughs announced before he departed, despite trump hailing "fantastic" trade deals and claiming "a lot of different problems" were settled. Analysts at Brookings were blunter: the meeting accomplished remarkably little, with the U.S. essentially returning to the status quo while American leverage over China quietly evaporated.
Then it got awkward. During opening remarks, Xi referenced the idea of America as a declining nation, and trump rushed to Truth Social to insist Xi was talking about Biden, not him. The problem is that this framing was spin, not reality. Multiple outlets had reported a growing consensus inside Chinese leadership that American global standing is slipping, with official Chinese sources doubling their use of "American decline" language last year. And trump's boast that Biden never could have scored a meeting with Xi falls apart instantly: Biden met Xi in California in 2023 and maintained multiple exchanges with him throughout his presidency.
The cherry on top was the parting gift. Xi, a man who has spent decades mastering the art of the elegant insult, promised trump rose seeds from the historic Zhongnanhai gardens knowing full well that trump paved over the White House Rose Garden last year to build himself a Mar-a-Lago style patio. trump gushed that they were "the most beautiful roses anyone has ever seen" and said he wanted them for his Rose Garden, apparently missing the joke entirely. trump has now been publicly clowned by the King of England and the President of China, two of the most powerful men on the planet, and neither time did he seem to notice it was happening. It's probably safe to say it's official; America now is a global laughing stock.

Xi didn't do what Trump did when Putin arrive in the US. It would be nice if Xi visits US and we see what Trump will do.

Re the pedo's trip with his various boot lickers. Found this very nice summary on the net:

"None of the 'ceremony' was accidental. The Chinese are masters of protocol: every chair height, every step, every distance is calculated. After all they have had thousands of years of negotiating and meeting various leaders.Trump's chair sat lower than Xi's because Beijing wanted it that way. The long walk at the grand welcome, the stairs where Trump had to stop and catch his breath, the moment Xi had to step in to steady him… all engineered. If Trump had a decent Office of Protocol they would have anticipated and pushed back. Protocol isn't just manners and etiquette, it's making sure your leader is cared for. But then look at the idiots surrounding him ..."

I guess people outside the propaganda bubble see all this clearly, whereas those who have drunk the kool aid have their heads so far up their asses they can't see this for all the shit on their faces.

BBC News - China has confirmed that it will buy 200 Boeing jets after US President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping met in Beijing last week.

Under the deal, the US will provide China with supply guarantees for aircraft engine parts and components, China's Commerce Ministry said on Wednesday.

The two sides will also work towards an extension of the tariffs truce they agreed in October and seek tariff cuts on $30bn (£22.4bn) or more of goods each, the ministry added.

How much Boeing stock did Trump and his crime syndicate buy before that announcement do we think?

Most likely not much when he heard the Chinese were buying 200 planes instead of the 500 expected .

Boeing stock went down once they announced the new revised commitment from China and we still don't know which airlines are buying if they ever do ... That's how committed the Chinese are at this point . Just like trump does on every contract he signs the Chinese might apply conditions later or cancel ...you never know.

Any contract or commitment has become double edge sword for trump as no one fully commits because people expect him to renege on his word or signature as he has done all his life minus when he dealt with the Russian mafia ...lol Nobody knows why !?!? Maybe a plunge from the 58th floor of his own tower didn't seem appealing to him .

The gay, I mean guy is a thief, a crook. He is stealing from the American taxpayers right in front of their eyes and ain't anybody can do anything about it. The corruption of this family is one of a kind in the entire history of mankind. Doesn't he know that he can't bring his billions to his grave? Perhaps he thinks he will live forever. 😆
