Must be why the liberals cancelled the carbon tax on heating oil in eastern Canada, because everybody was making so much back on their carbon tax rebates.
I think some people are missing the point.
The carbon tax in Canada is having a near zero affect on global pollution levels.
It is a virtue signaling exercise.
It's also one of the great grifts of our time.
The eco crowd can jet around the world on private planes, stay at five star hotels and all the while telling us we need to eat bugs and ride our bikes to work.

I think that this website is called "perb" and I think that the "p" stands for "Pacific" and the primary area served by perb is British Columbia. Guess what? BC residents do not get a rebate. Just to add insult to injury, if you purchase natural gas from Fortis, which is kind enough to detail the components of your gas bill, you will discover that you are paying more in carbon tax than you are paying for the actual commodity. Go figure!!!

I'm not sure I believe you on this point. The only porn site I watch that has quality free porn is PornHub. If it goes away, as threatened by the people who run the site, second best will be much worse I suspect. And they will likely also dissappear soon as well. I think the Conservatives have shares in companies that will eventually take the place of online porn sites and sell you porn by mailorder.

carbon taxes don't change behaviour, specially on basic needs, which is what heating your house, water, electricity, gas for cars, moving products, farming, ect is

and the rebates are a joke, go look at what someone uses for just heating their home with natural gas, then add in the gas for a vehicle, then add what all the other companies add to their product

if the price difference between carbox tax vs no carbon tax made no difference to sales then these companies would've been charging the higher price themselves, instead of charging the lower price and missing out on profits. There's plenty of basic economics videos on youtube, I suggest you watch them.
you realize that the rebates don't cover the ENTIRE cost of the gas, just the portion of the carbon tax right? of course what you pay to heat your home will be more than the rebate.
