The hockey genius is back. I find it amazing that good ole bj is far more knowledgeable than the braintrust that put this team together. Maybe you should call Mike Illich who owns the Red Wings and tell them to can Holland and Yzerman, because you are an infinitely better judge of talent then them. Mayber they should get rid of Babcock as well, and you can be Coach/GM/ and be President of the team.

I have to agree with this. He reminds me of Chris Osgood, a pretty good goalie on a high powered team.

Anyone remember back in 02 Saltlake city when Team Canada was receiving their gold medals, Ed Belfour was the third goalie and got a medal for just hanging around. When they placed the medal around his neck, the ribbon broke and the medal fell. He recieved a broken medal. Rather symbolic isn't it? I just downloaded the entire 02 gold medal game and noticed that incident again the other day
Now now, he put in lots of effort in the practices to help them prepare, I'm sure!

Keep in mind that Miller was the tournament's best goalie, every media who was there can say that. No mention of any millers weak goals. Louie didn't hv to make any game-changing saves bc our team was so stacked that other than the 5-3 loss to USA, any goalie would do.

No duh, everyone suspected that already going into the olympics and nobody is discounting that. He had to be the best he could for the US to have a chance.
Lol, one of the rare times where I was GLAD Luongo was not adventurous outside his net. Brodeur really seemed to be lost without his Devils system.
I thought the overtime goal in the Goal Medal game was weak. Miller went for a poke-check (as he himself admitted) instead of being ready for a shot.
The save Luongo made on Demitra at the end of the Slovak game put us into the final, and he was not spectacular against the U.S., but he was steady enough to help win us a gold. What has Miller won in his career?

It was pointed out on TSN that it was a weak goal, even happens even to MVP's. The problem with Luongo is it happens almost every game (weak goal) IMO.
Ok. I'll take the bait. Other than the Slovakian game, which weak goals did you see given up by Loungo? To be fair, I wasn't able to watch a lot of the preliminary round, but he did shut out one team (the first game) so it couldn't have been that one.
