"Hijacked" thread has been hijacked

Anybody know why, or by whom?

My guess is that sometime last evening it turned into a shouting match and the Mods used their discretion and pulled it. Usually when this happens it is for good reason on their part and they just did what they had to do.

It was interesting while it lasted; too bad somebody had to ruin it for all. Can't we all be just friends. Not a lot to ask for, is it?

I don't think the lounge is being hijacked. With the gossip hounds on another pooning planet, it leaves more room here to experience a civilized conversation. No points or demerits here.

Reviews have their place, info on escorts have their place, advertisers have their place and an additional perk when one of a paying variety.

I've got to tell you this is seriously fucking annoying. Sorry for the language but why do I bother wasting my time and effort on a response if it's going to end up in the can! Seriously... How would that have any bearing on the validity of a review that you wrote?

How can you say the person with +1000 rep points has a better perspective on a pooning experience than someone with 0 or -50?

You can say the person with +1000 rep points has more posting experience on the board and reviewing on that board, but how does that make their review any worse or better than someone with less rep points?

So it just reverts to it's lowest common denominator - it's used as a hammer to suppress free speech and thought. It's used by adults who act like 12 year olds to say things in private that they would never say in public because they know it would probably get them banned.

The rep points have nothing to do with reviews, instead reviewers are given Review Stars that indicate the number of legit reviews that they submit (5, 10, 20, 30, etc).

The rep points serve as a form of community policing - rarely does an established board member go on a trollish rampage, it's more often "new" people who were banned under other names who come back to stir things up under a new handle - so that a troll can be essentially shut down before doing too much damage if a mod is not around. If an established member is out of line, the mods are very helpful and as is the owner, and will issue a private warning, which usually gets the job done. If not, established members have been banned before.

Chilli, you seem rather bitter but if you recall your intro to the board was when you were backing someone who had done something that everyone in the industry know is one of the lowest possible things that you can do in the industry. I won't, nor should anyone else, go into specifics...and if you have something to say... do it via PM. BTW why do you harp about reviews, I looked into your posting history and I don't see many reviews under your belt, why are you such an expert?

Many assume that the "in group" never ding each other with negative reps. That is totally untrue, most people deal with their issues with other members privately instead of dragging everyone else into it by announcing it. Most of the active participants enjoy the board enough that they can forgive and forget for the sake of the community.

There are only 2 reasons to be banned from the other board... threatening other members and outing personal info. We do not encourage cross - board politics at any of our sites. You should have taken a hint when your original thread was deleted.
May I also remind you that the Lounge is an open forum , every one has right to post in there..the original question you posed
did not make much sense. If the Mods thought someone was abusing the advertising rules they would deal with the person.
