I am sitting next to my fire pit drinking bourbon with two friends, both jacked me up, which is the reason I write this post. Think about the events of today regarding Ford and electricity. Politicians typically do not understand economics, yet economic war can be more damaging than bombs. Ford got a lesson today, I wonder if he is embarrassed? Canada and the US are married, but as in all relationships, there is one bread winner, the US is the bread winner. This is easy shit, together we are incredibly strong, apart the US is strong and Canada is nothing. It will take some pain for Canadians to reap the benefits, but Canadians will be much better off. Anyone in Canada that is not embarrassed by Fords actions is a moron. Ford is a politician and as displayed today, has no idea about what he is doing. The idiot threatened to cut off electricity if Trump retaliated, Trump retaliated and Ford shit his pants. Its not rocket science! Take your pride to Starbucks and see what you can buy.
I say cut the electricity off.... Let their houses freeze, have to replace the frozen water lines...
We can always use steel here Canada...
While the electricity is still on in Canada, the northern states can freeze a bit.....

don't take the bait about "wins". there is no winning happening at the moment. unless you have inside as to what Trump is about to say and are shorting the market.
No i don't have an inside knowledge but as you know the narcissism in trump needs to be fed every once in a while. Up the rates -retaliation- down the rates

Not a fan of Freeland as vice prime minister or minister of finance but she played that same game with trump 7 years ago and he hated her guts for it. We can assume that at this point the political class is working in unison as they did for NAFTA 2.0 ...but i have doubts about Poilievre so far and Smith even if she seems to get on the same bandwagon at this point .

Some people believe the craziest stuff and therefore impossible to debate. All this talk about Putin, nobody knows what he will do, or his motivation. After the invasion, Biden initially offered to fly Z out of the country. If Europe was so concerned, as Putin massed troops on the border, they could have stationed a few troops inside Ukraine which, for fear of NATO, would have prevented the invasion. Europe had months to prepare. Ukraine is also one of the most corrupt countries in the world, eleventh from bottom to be exact. Ukraine also persecuted the Russians living within it borders. Ukraine is not innocent. Europe and probably more exact, Poland, just want a geographical buffer between itself a Russia. Does anyone remember Vietnam. It was soooo important to stop the spread of communism 58,000 Americans died…..for nothing. Now the US does trade with Vietnam and it is still communist. I just hate to see millions of people slaughtered for nothing, so I do not give a rats ass about Ukraine as a country, but I do care about its citizens dying. As for shutting off the electricity or Ford bated Trump, Ford is a politician that obviously doesn’t understand economics and if he followed thru with his threat, the Canadian economy would have been destroyed very quickly. The baby boomer comment is laughable. Social Security is far from a golden parachute. I was forced to pay into it in the Marines, but after discharge I found a loophole which gave me an exemption. In order to collect, a person must pay into it for 10 years. The award is based how how much a person contributes. When I first learned about money, I discovered if I place the same amount of the SS contribution into an S&P index fund, I will make much more money than I will get from SS. Basic numbers, a person whom contributes an average of $150k per year for 30 years can start collecting SS at 62 years old in the amount of $2400 per month. I have just over 5 million in my index fund and I’m not 62. Do the math! Over the years politicians raided SS and used it as a welfare entitlement. People like illegal aliens and kids with ADHD can collect it, which is the reason it is going broke. Most people would opt out of SS if they could, but it is required. It basically takes money away from those that work and redistributes it, similar to to your carbon tax. It is government creative accounting. A lot of politicians in the US are not business people, hindsight 20/20, I wish I became a politician. Most in the US are treated like royalty, when in fact they are just public servants. There are no minimum requirements be become a Senator or Congressman, they just must talk a good game and promise stupid people the world. I think the US would function much better if business people ran the government. The jury is still out, but thus far I think Trump and Musk are doing a fine job, they are working for America.

Ok sweetheart I will bite. Do men need pussy? Do men spend money for pussy? Do men ruin marriages for pussy? Yes, men can survive without pussy, but at what cost? Will they be satisfied without pussy? Men do stupid stuff for pussy and women risk their health to provide pussy. Think outside the box. Think about when a woman is no longer sexually attractive, what will she do? Maybe get a job at Home Depot? Is Canada Home Depot?
Wow this Motorman AI bot is usually pretty well spoken and can sometimes even pass for a real human being. But the AI must have still have some bugs.

OK Sweetheart?? :ROFLMAO: LOL The AI can’t help itself sounding like a stereotypical guy from the 70’s.

Gosh it’s great to hear you brag about yourself. I believe you could give trump lessons on how to do it more effectively.

I'm looking at Huntsville, Alabama as a potential retirement city now. Red States have a terrible reputation on this site but looking at the youtube videos its is a whole lot cleaner than Seattle which is a pile of trash in a lot of places. I can't wait to leave this cold dumpy city. If it wasn't for the Mexican taco trucks here the city would be unlivable.

A friend of mine told me his sister and brother-in-law moved to Huntsville a while back. They didn’t like it and and are moving back to Canada. The brother-in-law is American forget the specific reason they’re leaving, perhaps too many maga types don’t recall for sure.

no. no, they cannot.

but yes, its a wealth distribution system. where people who built great wealth for others never got a sufficient piece of the action to afford not to be old and poor. if you are down for Trump/GOP raiding SS then so be it. i was only pointing out that the political ramifications will be severe and the GOP are fully aware.

we will be seeing big business cheer some of Trumps tariffs decisions:

Are there benefits to Trump’s tariffs?

" Anheuser-Busch, which owns Budweiser and Michelob among other beverages, is reportedly thrilled about extra taxes on Mexican and Canadian beers. "

as noted, the last time Trump put tariffs on aluminum, domestic aluminum producers just raised prices to match tariff prices. and increased costs cost tens of thousands of US jobs.

many smaller brewers went out of business as beer cans are a big cost.

so this is just more concentration of wealth... especially for GOP supporting businesses.

Same old story,,, Trump says some stupid stuff online or verbally. Most people go HuH? Whats he talking about. The market fluctuates and the rich guys make more money.... Trump decreases the tax on the rich, which leaves more of a burden on the middle class and poor. Apparently he is bankrupting the SS system, just like a few of his old businesses went bankrupt, yet somehow he is a billionaire.
The good news is that Trump will die just like any other human has on this planet, that he cannot escape from.....

As if insurance rates are not already sky high, now we have all will have to split the damage bills thru our premiums. You really don't think insurance companies in America are going to eat this thru their profits do you. Idiots abound in USA , now more people will simply refuse or not be able to afford car insurance at all.

I don't see any uproar from the democrats at all.
