"Lol...you went back 12 years for this one."

They keep losing elections. They haven't won one in almost 12 years.

"Modern" conservative politicians tend to be poorly educated and quite stupid.

But I don't know what is stupider...

Wasting $1.3 billion on an imaginary pipeline...

or $70 million on Turkish fake kid's Tylenol that tends to kill kids.

I want to make a remark about the entitlement issue seen in these recent posts. It is a wide spread issue throughout the world, not just in Canada. I see it in all political parties once they are in power no matter what the level - federal, provincial and municipal. I also see it as a big problem in our private sector. As part of my job, I have made policies to my subordinates about having to be careful with expenses. I have also tried to push this to the wider company. And from what I have seen it doesn't matter their politics. I have seen left wingers try to stay in the most expensive hotels and right wingers guzzle down the most expensive wines. I do not approve those expenses when they come to me. And I think that in private business we need to respect the shareholders. And we very much need to hold not only our elected officials to standards but also any sort of public official or employee. All of us work too hard for our money to put up with this. But let me ask everyone, do you fight this sort of behaviour at work? Or do you just complain? I for one, at least, take a firm hand to control my reports and myself. We all need to do that.
I have given members of my sales team 2 chances to fix some of the fictional works that are expense reports. First is denied with a "fix this and resubmit", second is same but "do this again and your next time we'll be having a more difficult conversation".
The mandate is clear, you spend company money as if it is your own, account for it, justify anything more than the usual or it is denied, keep doing it and you don't work here.
Somewhere along the way all levels of government lost that and it disgusts me that no one party, or group of elected officials step up to fix this. A few years back, in working with a senior science figure putting together a big money research project, I learned that many politicians are on board, do as well as they can but they fight the senior level of the civil service. Those fuckers are entrenched and in a lot of cases are a root of the problem.
At any rate, the system is fucked up and waste and corruption is built in.
I for one am more aware of all this at income tax time .... fuckers.

And until the 2015 federal election, the federal Liberals had not won an election in the preceding 11 years. Exactly what nonsensical point are you trying to make? The preceding 11 years prior to the 2015 election does not mean the Libs had no chance in 2015 (as evidenced by their win). In the same token, the Libs' three election win starting in 2015 says nothing about what may or may not happen in the next election.

I'll type slower.

I was responding to a poster who took me to task for going back to when the Conservatives last held power for examples of the Conservatives waste.

No. I get it, you think you're doing that - but you're not. Saying nothing for the fact that you posted a decade old article/tweet/whatever, unprompted - to prove what point? I get it, you prefer the federal Libs, there's plenty of comments here about Liberals wasting taxpayer money. But, your posts demonstrate an infantile mind. This notion that "they did it too" (i.e. the infantile response) is completely missing the point. In other words, Conservatives wasting taxpayer money is not some justification for Liberals to waste taxpayer money - and that is what you are doing. Now, whether you have the mental capacity to actually know (or the intellectual honesty to admit) that that is what you are doing is, of course, another matter all together.

LOL! There's that infantile mindset! LOL
Your name calling is the only infantile thing I've seen from you. It comes off as sociopathic blather insted of making *any* point at all. Try actually saying something besides 'youre a poopie head' it gets boring.

Perfidious, off-putting opposition leader with high school education mansplains, gets it wrong, then gets owned by a girl.

This isn't your father's conservative party.

NDP MP Laurel Collins.

Laurel has a degree in "Human Security and Peacebuilding".

No, I did not make that up.

Apparently it's a thing.

Also did some work for the UN giving away other people's money ( an NDP specialty)

Laurel was on Victoria City Council for one year.

That makes her qualified to be an NDP federal MP.

She's never done an honest days work in her life.

She's a leech.

She has no business "explaining" anything to anyone.

SHE'S A FUCKING CLOWN!!!

But is what she said correct? Even clowns can be correct. And boy, you like to attack the messenger! Lots of vitriol there.

Yeah, she owned him so easily it was embarrassing.

It's interesting that the previous poster didn't acknowledge Poilievre's complete lack of education, his complete lack of any real world work experience, nor his ignorance on an issue that he wants to run an election on.

Nope. He goes full-on misogynist from the get-go.

Which I guess is appropriate because Poilievre put misogynistic tags in his videos for 5 years to attract the Alex Jones types.

Is what she said correct?

No.

The oil and gas sector is largely exempt from the carbon tax.

He's not "mansplaining" it to her.

He's telling her that she's wrong.

The NDP is the party for disaffected losers and people of low intelligence.

I'm not attacking Laurel, I'm pointing out the fact that she has no clue what she's talking about.

Why the vitriol?

A portion of my paycheck goes towards paying this idiots generous salary.

It's frustrating that some people on this board can't see what's right in front of them.

She was 100% correct. Poilievre was 100% wrong, befitting a man with less education than a Starbucks barista.
You are 100% incorrect.

The oil and gas industry in Canada is largely exempt from the carbon tax.

They also use ofsets.

What I really enjoy is how you double down when you're wrong.

It's funny but I end up being embarrassed for you.

So, I don't know what to say...

Keep up the good work?

What we're seeing in the Conservative Party is exactly what we've seen in the MAGA Republican party.

Facts and truth no longer matter.

Whatever the leader utters becomes the truth. No matter how ignorant, ill-informed or stupid the leader's words are.
