So lets look at the JFK assassination. A conspiracy theory is "an attempt to explain harmful or tragic events as the result of the actions of a small powerful group. Such explanations reject the accepted narrative surrounding those events " or "A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups, often political in motivation, when other explanations are more probable ".
So who gets to decide the "accepted narrative" or "more probable"? I assume it's the news media, but we know how reliable that can be.
In the case of JFK what is the more probable explanation; that Oswald did it alone, or that there were multiple gunmen?
Put another way is the multiple gunmen the conspiracy or is Oswald the conspiracy?
Or because we have a "viable" alternative are they both conspiracies?

Based on ballistic alone if I recall correctly it was approximately 5.56mm caliber hole at the back of the skull that killed him . Oswald's rifle was a 6.5x52 which would have made a bigger hole. As well the angle was not right for Oswald . The only firearm with the right caliber or approximately of that caliber was carried by the secret service in the convertible behind him. Accidental discharge from the agent that was covered up by his superior/supervisor is the most plausible story for me.

Big mistake that made the Warren commission and the explanations impossible to answer enough of the questions for people to put the accident to rest . No malevolent dark power wanting to overthrow everything but the end results doesn't look good.

I don't think there is anything confusing about conspiracy theories. Based on a credible event and from that point on facts diverge from reality.

The arsonist who just burned down the Masonic Halls had a FB page full of 911, JFK, moon landing and the list goes on, bat shit wacko rants and theories.

My belief is that a lot of people want something to hang onto other than what is happening to them. Be it a religious belief, a political party, a specific person, common enemies etc, its in that category of whatever floats your boat. The issue is when those beliefs cross over into seriously influencing actions. Qanon and dRUMPF a classic example. ISIL another. Pick a conspiracy and you will find followers. Just look at some of the shit the trolls post in this forum!! You don't have to go far.

If there is confusion, in my scientific way of looking at things, it is that the individual's critical thinking protocols got cross wired somewhere along the way.

I think one of the causes of conspiracy theories in the US heavily depends on how strenuously the Govt guards the information. In the JFK circumstance, they have not fully released the information and most of it is heavily redacted. They have consistently moved the date for full disclosure from 2012 and now its 2040 (?)

re Oswald you have several theories.

1 He acted alone. Problem with the single gunman theory is it depends on people buying the 4th bullet was found in pristine condition after several wounds through flesh and bone. I’ve shot into one of those gelatine filled containers and those brass bullets were really messed up. Highly unlikely in my opinion.

2. It was retaliation by Castro for the numerous attempts on his life by the CIA. This one is plausible because the CIA’s Special Activities Division ie the private army that doesn’t report to Congress like the military. I’m reading “Surprise, Kill, Vanish” by Annie Jacobsen and she highlights the CIA from OSS days to present day. In the book she goes through history of activities in South and Central America, Iran and Vietnam. Check out Joe Rogan’s podcast interview.

3. It was a hit by the mob for the Kennedy’s two faced treatment of Giancana and Trafficante. Mob helped Kennedy get elected with Union assistance directly related to Mob influences. Once elected, Bobby Kennedy put the mob on his #1 priority for prosecution. Possible and they would have the means and ways to hit JFK. I suppose you could include RFK’s assassination too since the Mob had motives.

4. The darkest one is the “Industrial Military Complex” taking out Kennedy because the new President was taking the US out of Vietnam. This would involve complicity by CIA, LBJ etc. Unlikely I suppose but would make a great script for a Jack Ryan movie.

Oswald is the conspiracy.

"The Warren Commission, the official government investigation into the assassination, concluded that Oswald acted alone." . . . "By 1976, Americans' belief in the conspiracy theory swelled to 81%. " Both from https://news.gallup.com/poll/165893/majority-believe-jfk-killed-conspiracy.aspx

Conspiracy theories are the best invention since short pleated skirts with no undies. They are an essential part of a free and open society. They're as fantastic as FOI legislation, right to worship, and freedom of speech.

Whether or not you believe that Oswald acted alone, the moon landing was faked, or Area 51 contains remnants of crashed alien spacecraft is almost irrelevant. I love it that there are armies of zealots prodding the government for info it doesn't want to release.

And, . . . as with Oswald and JFK, occasionally the iconoclastic nutbars get it right.

The bullets that supposedly came from Oswalds gun were copper jacketed lead, not brass and it’s accepted that there were three shots not four,. The one found in good shape was known as the magic bullet.

So who gets to decide the "accepted narrative" or "more probable"?
Today?....Social Media and/or Liberals.

Mainstream media doesn't help either, but lately it's censorship from big-tech that's been getting a lot of flack.

Stephen Crowder was recently "cancelled" from youtube because of a series of videos he made following up on the addresses of Biden voters, which gives certain legitimacy on whether or not the Dems "stole" the last election. Physically travelling to these places, which wind up being abandoned warehouses and people who've been dead for years.....is it a conspiracy to say the election was stolen, even if there is proof of some "discrepancies"?

Was Soros behind the nationwide BLM/Antifa riots last year? Planting pallets of bricks in hot-spots, hoping for escalation?

How does the "9/11 was an inside job" theory work? That the "jews" detonated Building 7 themselves, while the CIA tricked some radical terrorists to crash planes into the Twin Towers?....or is it a better theory to believe that Bush Jr's administration was well aware of an impending attack and choose to do nothing about it, and allow the attack to rally the American people to have it's war on terror (re: oil profits)?

China's subversion of western culture....... someone can write an entire library on that subject. From COVID, Hollywood, ...even down to "forced equity" in media for LGBTQ communities.....

....that all said, look at some conspiracy theories that turned out to be true:

- "Smoking causes cancer".... imagine yourself living in the 1950s, where Big Tobacco had their fingers in every corporation in North America, even the media. Telling you smoking is GOOD for you. Until one doctor was brave enough to say, smoking does kill you.,..... what happens to the doctor? And how many TV stations told everyone he was crazy?

- Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring"...READ THIS.... similar to Big Tobacco's corruptions. That book is about exposing Monsanto's free use DTT, and the harmful health effects of using it. But Monsanto campaigned against her, even going so far as to issue death threats against her.

- MK Ultra experiments were real. CIA brainwashing; real "Winter Solider" stuff.

- Dali Llama took $10 million dollars of US government money to bolster his religion within Tibet to help subvert China's influence.

- The incident at the Gulf of Tonkin was staged to start the Vietnam War.

- Edward Snowden...self-explanatory.

some conspiracies are plausible. some are just downright stupid and contradict common sense, physics, and science.

let’s look at the moon landing. pretty pathetic to think the moon landing was a hoax but believe that apollo 13 was a miracle. if you feel that they survived on the narrowest of margins building a CO2 filter fitting a square peg in a round hole, sling shooting around the moon with precise fuel burns, and painfully calculating how to draw the tiniest amounts of amperage out of a cold damp battery and still making it home but think that the crew a year earlier was all fake yeah you’re a special kind of stupid.

as for JFK this i do believe. too many coincidences. LHO was the patsy. and he didn’t even fire the gun. it was indeed a well orchestrated coup-d’etat. the mob did the shooting, the CIA organized the intel, the FBI had the resources to obscure the truth. if there was nothing to hide why are they still covering this up in the year 2021? something like 160 witnesses were killed or wound up dead of mysterious circumstances within a year of the shooting. i follow Ocham’s Razor on this one : if LHO really killed JFK, why didn’t he do it when JFK was head on with a clear view without an oak tree in the way when he was facing north on Houston slowing down, but rather waits until he is driving away on Elm street to fire three shots. it didn’t happen! there were plots to kill JFK in Tampa and Chicago as well with similarly placed Oswald look alikes.

and i think because of govt’s active role censoring the truth after JFK’s assassination it has been the catalyst to the distrust of the media and big gov you see even today. that single event changed history forever.

area 51 / aliens don’t know don’t care.

9/11 that’s a toss up. i think it’s odd that the second tower hit was the first to fall. first tower hit was second to fall. building 7 falling on its own but no other building affected. convenient way to invade iraq and finally get Saddam Hussein under the false pretence of WMD’s that were ultimately never found.

covid19 i don’t really want to delve into this one but when Bill Gates is involved with vaccines and buying up huge stakes of farmland it begs the question why. i don’t think the story of it coming from a bat in a wet market is true but i don’t think we’ll ever know the truth. follow the money. the elitists have had the biggest transfer of wealth in history in a single year. now im not a covid denialist by any means but it begs a lot of questions and we’ve only scratched the surface.

The Illuminati put JFK’s Brain in the same jar as Hitler’s Brain and Einstein’s Brain.

Nothing substantial became of this. But, when the encephalograph was played in reverse through google translate, they kept hearing “Chowda”, “Furry”, and “Fuk Newton” over and over again.

Considering the number of humans who still make it part of their daily routine to pay homage to and actually worship mythical supreme beings, it's become apparent to me that there will always be
a certain % for whom facts and reality are irrelevant and find it personally beneficial to become 'believers' and followers' in order to survive their stay on this planet. Good for them I assume, not so much for me thanks.

Hitler was fascinated with ancient cultures and civilizations. He read and studied middle eastern history. He learned of the writings of ancient spaceships (vimana) and sent search parties out several times in hopes of gathering more information. Eventually they discovered one or more of these spacecrafts and brought them back to Germany. Several other countries heard of this discovery and in fear of the power this would give Germany started WWII. During the war the Germans tried to reverse engineer these ancient spaceships. When the war came to an end these ships and the German researchers were shipped off to the United States where they continued their research. The Roswell crash was in fact American pilots trying to fly one of these crafts.

Interesting, I read that some US soldiers found a Vimana in a cave in Afghanistan. Somehow they activated it and 8 of the soldier’s disappeared into thin air.

In my advanced physics studies years ago we learned that the ancient aliens spoke with a circular action that translated into their machines. The helical action allowed them to circumvent time and much of the space in the universe. The problem was that if you did not know how to correctly activate the controls of their crafts these advanced Vimanas, problems would arise. So those soldiers in that cave didn't disappear into thin air, they activated the helical motion and disappeared up their own assholes in ever diminishing circles.

The thing with the Roswell incident is where were the aliens from and how did they get here? The nearest solar planetary system is Alpha Centuari at a distance of approx 4.4 light years. To travel that far in a conventional space craft would take some 70,000 years, assuming it traveled at typical velocity of space craft launched into space from earth. To me the distance required to arrive at earth is insurmountable for aliens.
