Recollect in one of your posts that you've seen Vancouver Harbour riding the Sea Bus. You need to lobby for a proper deep water port such as Kitamat with a wider access channel to open ocean.

Many times whilst riding the seabus I saw Canadian Naval vessels moored right next to it at the old Expo 86 Pavillion.Saw many container ships,those really big ones that haul seacans and which are also single hulled.Saw oil tankers as well.When I went to Vancouver to take care of things in June 2018 I drove there and my brother lived next to the ferry terminal.I am scared of heights and the upper levels highway is scary as hell but from that vantage point you could see a veritable SHITLOAD of all sorts of ships.Container ships for the most part as well as cruise ships and so on and so forth.Hey do you know about the coal terminal at Tsawwassen?It is the departure point of all dry bulk ships going out full of koking coal to China and coming back to get refilled.That koking coal comes from ElKford BC from the mine run by Teck Resources.Koking coal is used for steel production.The only way on earth on a commercial level can steel be made and it is in a foundry with iron ore and koking coal.You cant do it any other way with any other means of energy.It is a scientific FACT. Having said what I have and responded to your inquirey/opinion about the whole matter is just NIMBY.Actually it is a matter of both NIMBY and the eco nut jobs who just do it because they are a faithless people who are brainwashed about "Sacred Mother Earth" and at the same time there are professional protesters who get paid to do what they do.The pushback on the whole pipeline expansion is just plain fucked with regards to the National Interest.At the same time you dont see any protesters bitching about the largest koking export terminal on the entire west coast!Ask one of these idiots what koking coal is and the answer would be "it is coal and it should be banned".

How many ships collide in the Burrard Inlet?....between that huge mix of container/cruise/tanker/military?Keep in mind though that only Military ships and Oil Tankers are either strategically or legally enforced to be double hulled.

This action to stop the TMX expansion is both NIMBY and it is fed with foreign money from special interest groups like the Tides Foundation.Over 66% of BC residents support it and yet 1/10th of 1/10th of 1/10th of 1% of the population decides to show up a protest Society should bend to the will of that tiny fragment of Society.My response to that is a loud FUCK YOU!

People's China usurps islets close the Philippines for military infrastructure to harass fishing vessels of Viet Nam and Philippines. People's China has stolen a incredible amount of intellectual property from the United States and Europe through forced partnerships in People's China with U.S. and European firms that was not mandated by the World Trade Organization when People's China was allowed into the WTO. American and European technology that is thrusting a despotic regime to the forefront of military prowess, space exploration, nuclear power. A regime with a "social credit system" that monitors human behavior with a vast array of cameras and facial recognition to determine score for jobs, education, travel privileges, receiving organs forced from individuals in the same surveillance system. That is the stuff that Canada is a party to because Canadians have been so self entitled for higher wages to lose the Canadian manufacturing sector that went over to People's China for marginalized and sometime slave labour to perform and dependant upon exploiting the Canadian environment both out of the ground and with real estate sales to oligarchs that grew rich off the backs of those scoring low in a social credit system. Wow great post on your view of the PRC in regards to a host of issues,none of which you can change.How about actually responding/rebutting what I said?

Further I would like to enquire how many dead Killer Whales have washed ashore that have been struck by ships?If any were actually killed via a collision with a ship,what type of ship was it?I highly doubt there are any serious Killer Whale deaths via marine vessel contact.As whales go Killer Whales are considered the most intelligent and do interact with humanity.Killer Whales have got it figured out they cant eat a ship so they have no interest as well as that a ship is 1000 times bigger and will come out the winner....Killer Whales are not dumb.

Radio news gas prices in Vancouver are set to go down 10 cents tomorrow (Thursday) and down another 5 cents Friday. That's down from a high of 160.9 that I saw on a self-serve Esso couple of weeks ago.
