"How does the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protect people from racism and hate crime? Not to mention the monumental waste of time. If there's no damage to either vehicle then just leave. I'm not condoning what the lady said in the video but last I checked, being a racist isn't a crime.
That's a big but.Not to mention the monumental waste of time. If there's no damage to either vehicle then just leave. I'm not condoning what the lady said in the video but last I checked, being a racist isn't a crime.
A big but is condoning racism. Victim blaming is a form of racism.FFS, all this over licence plates touching? I won’t condone the comments by Waldman but Xu waiting for the other driver to return seems like baiting and looking for a fight.
Is telling Jagmeet Singh he belongs to India racist? Is telling someone their a bad driver prosecutable?
Is telling someone of visible Chinese descent they belong in China, racist?
Is blowing a raspberry at someone, racist?
Is a bygone children's taunt prosecutable?
I've been called racist names in the past. Frankly, it's a childish and stupid way to argue a point, and I've always laughed at specific comments. That's a lot more effective than public shaming, tribunals or prosecution. Doing that just entrenches their views. Laughing at them show them to be ignorant fools.
My general reaction to your post is "oh my!"Is telling someone their a bad driver prosecutable?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1MMoYlYzaQAh the circle of life....white drivers complain about Chinese drivers...now Chinese drivers complain about white drivers...all is right with the world.:bump2:
Again, the Canadian Charter of Rights does not explicitly say being racist is a crime and punishable by law. There are millions of Canadians who you would consider a "racist" but guess what? They haven't broken any laws despite their beliefs and/or preferences. It's only a crime WHEN YOU ACT ON IT. Same goes for this woman that people are so appalled by. It was a PARKING DISPUTE that turned ugly. No crime was committed. Get over it."How does the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protect people from racism and hate crime?
That's a blatant copy of an old Italian Commercial.
[/H
Hilarious........altho' it may cause some damage to the ever-fragile Italian male ego, lol.
Nobody is calling that woman a criminal. So, get over the idea that anyone is saying she has committed a crime. That's not why the video clip went viral.Again, the Canadian Charter of Rights does not explicitly say being racist is a crime and punishable by law. Not an original idea either. This was published in 1884, accordingly to Wikipedia, and the history goes way back to Aesop's Fables:That's a blatant copy of an old Italian Commercial.
My comments were originally directed at this post, not at your silly referencing of the Charter of Rights:Nobody is calling that woman a criminal. So, get over the idea that anyone is saying she has committed a crime.

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. At least we can look forward to a future full of PUSSIES walking around, scared of everything. That being said.....all thanks to Political Correctness these days OUR Society is pretty fucked up and stupid.
The R. v. Keegstra SCC judgement of 1990 may provide some insight. My comments were originally directed at this post, not at your silly referencing of the Charter of Rights:
The conviction was reinstated by the Supreme Court.LOL and that ONE conviction brought forth by Mr. Broken Record was originally overturned due to freedom of speech infringement. Attempting to brainwash kids as a power of authority will usually net you some jail time, regardless of the message/content.
