The resultant offspring is genetically superior in every way.
Except for inter species offspring that are sterile!

Genetic engineering with something like CRISPER-9 is nothing like crossbreeding.

I love my breads, Dairy and Sugar but could lose a few pounds....so beginning the new year...I have decided to go Wheat, Dairy and Sugar Free :-(

Good bye hamburgers, hot dogs, bagels, cheese cake, ice cream, cookies, etc.

Hello more vegetables....wish me luck.

Corym
Just eat with moderation, try to cook for yourself and don't eat out. Try to eat fermented food and drinks, very good for you. Excersise as much as you can and don't eat after 6pm. Pretty easy

Meat is still okay even bacon, eggs but wheat has been altered ie: GMO.

I am not a gym person...never liked it...never will...rather go for a walk.

Will give bi-weekly reports :)

Cheers,

Corym
Hit the gym too fatty. Way more enjoyable with more health benefits than just your fad diet alone.

Awesome idea. I only eat meat, dairy or bread when we go out to eat. At home, it's good old plant based protein (Lentils, Beans, etc) and *drum roll* . . . a super greens powder. Best thing ever :)

I didn't mean to set off a storm but at least people are talking about it...I am doing it for my own interest...to see if I can lose a few pounds. By coincidence, health Canada released a new guide highlighting that sugar, salt, red meats should be reduced. Eat more veggies in other words.

To date....I am doing pretty good no toast, bagels, chocolate bars, dessert, etc.

Cheers,

Corym

Bear in mind that you have to watch your portions. 5000 calories of protein and veg is still 5000 calories, way above your daily budget. Here's an short intro to the low carb diet:

Chicken Caesar at lunch and make a point of overdoing it on the veggies, then I have little to no hunger for the rest of the day. Load up with roughage/fiber so you have no room or desire for other junk. A bunch of romaine makes you feel stuffed.

Now if I go on a Carb binge such as pizza I definitely have a Carb hangover. It slows me down mentally as well as physically. Keto makes me feel sharper.

Moderation is great if you have enough discipline. I'm back to trying to cut refined sugar out of my diet. After the first few days it becomes easy to stay off it. But if I try to have a few sweet treats in moderation, I gradually backslide until I'm having a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast every morning.

For me sugar is like smoking. I think I can control it but I end up backsliding until I'm in a bad place again. Complete abstinence is easier than moderation for me in this case, though I would generally agree with the advice of everything in moderation.

Alright!.....I have a confession to make.
Because of all your comments I have made a real effort to cut down on my sugar.
It's been going on for about a week now, and I am feeling better, and I had to come to terms I was addicted to the stuff.

So even though I want to hate all of you....deep down I have to thank you ,for prodding me into addressing the problem.

If the weight loss becomes “stalled” try 16/8 Keto, it’s basically you eat from 12-8 and only water the other 16hrs (black coffee is ok), the eating part keep your carbs under 20g...

What is your main goal? Only weight loss, or do you want to improve your diet to reduce inflamation, digestion etc..... Is there is a specific dietary plan/goal you are trying to achieve?

Reason being, is just cutting out those foods may not result in any great loss, if you are just substituting. For example, if you cut out wheat/gluten and replace it with other starches (Rice, potato, beans etc..)... your carb intake will remain same. Doesn't make sense for most people to go gluten free unless they have a gluten alergy or celiac disease. If you cut out dairy, you need to make up the fat somewhere else. Also eggs are one of the most nutritionally balanced foods and has essential fatty acids, same with grass fed butter. Sugar i agree is evil and should be avoided except in very small quantities, but if you cutting out cola and replacing with juices, its still sugar and your body will process it the same.

If you are trying to adapt to a Low Carb, the key isn't just cutting out these foods (and substituting them for healthier alternatives), you need to significantly reduce your carb intake to see notable results, even if its a healthier carb. If you are going for a Ketogenic diet, dairy and eggs are typically a staple on keto (Unless you go Vegan Keto where you need tons of Avacado and Cocount Oil to get your fats), but you must avoid ALL carbs (wheat, rice, beans, sugars, breads, starches). Keto is very strict but very effective.

Anyways, not telling you how to design your diet, but just cutting out those food groups, without a clear nutritional plan and goal, seems a bit unfocused and you may not achieve any big weight loss.

So your saying that Root Beer, even though it's made with birch bark, and cane sugar....isn't a healthy drink?
