I've heard that Diet Pepper (not diet!) works amazingly well as a braising liquid in a crock pot for pulled pork! Ever tried it?With a slow cooker you can use lower cost cuts like pork shoulder, chuck roast etc. With a combined pressure/slow cooker, you can do beef brisket cured like Montreal smoked meat and all its variants. That and a small convection oven are the two most used appliances I own.
