My point of view on this is....i am not quite sure where and how it actually helps.the women on this board if for any reason a member was banned or suspended... yes we do get a reason why... and if I remember correctly allot of those bans where because of multiple handles....
If you look at today's technology.... trying to track down who is who in terms of handles it could be very much a waste of time.... having cell phones...tablettes. ... laptops...... work computer... right there you have 4 different IP address that can give you 4 different handles no questions asked.
I believe the good part of Perbatory was mainly for the entertainment...

Simple. Every woman in red pays to be in red. Banner ads & the like are the income that this place generates, and it's independent escorts, not asian micros, that pay it. When the posters forget or ignore this fact & turn it into a hooker bashing site, women stop participating & utlimately, they decide to stop advertising & supporting the site. Fewer ladies participate here than they used to, because of posters who make it an unfriendly place for us to be. People get tired of being slapped down & find other ways to reach out to potential guests.
Well, perhaps fewer than at some moment in time, but I'd say the number participating is about average for the eleven years I've been reading PERB. The number of women posting with some frequency in the Lounge fluctuates a bit. It's certainly been higher at times than it is now, but it's been way lower too, as in none. Most of the advertisers don't participate much in the lounge, and why would they? I imagine that to run their businesses they have to keep up with multiple web sites, and spending too much time here on PERB would just be a time sink.
A typical pattern with both male and female posters in the lounge is, they discover the place, they're keen for a few weeks or in extreme cases a few months, and then their interest wanes and they drift off. Some re-appear, months or years later, and go through the same cycle over again.
I am also one for bringing back perbatory. I have only been on her for close to 3 years now. and recently back into the hobby for about 2. (last time was in the 80s) I find this forum the best resource for information. I have had lots of experiences in the past 2 years with many SPs All have been excellent mainly due to a bit of research in here.Never a health or safety issue. When I have a great experience I often will do a review.. Its called feedback. Once I got called down for one claiming he had heard from someone she offers something I know for a fact she does not, He kept harping on it on the thread. Then he contacts several other SPs he knows I have seen and tells them point blank I am practicing unsafe sex with many ladies and they in turn will not see me. Why he did this I have no idea. Possibly he had a bad date with her. Remember its YMMV. Some people are in such a mindset that it has to be black and white and I am right. Like the other day... some guy said something about a gangbang. being nothing but gay. Hell there are women there.. No understanding of the meaning or even the thought that other people may have certain sexual preferences beyond a Man and Woman. only. Not that either of these folks should go to perbatory but just want fellow perbites to watch for some of the attitudes to come out. Perbatory may curb the worst of them.
I agree with everything you say here, Ms. E. And I'm sure you would agree that you and I more or less see things from a very similar perspective.
And to be clear to all- I am not a misogynist. In fact, some of my more supportive feministic postings have been called out by many.
This commentary is not in any way directed towards yourself- but your post actually provides a platform for several thoughts on the Red subject.
Having said that, I find that certain ladies in Red just don't get it, and equate debate and difference of opinion with attack, or "bashing" as you say. Any opposing remark, or support of another's remark, is perceived as piling on. Or lurking and waiting for an opportunity to lunge.
Then the thread goes sideways while said SPs bemoan their fragility, or the feeling of demeaning singularity from certain members. Then they run to the Mods and cry they are being picked on. Then come the PMs from- and in return, back to- the Mods to clarify the situation. And then the occasional time out to reflect upon our, ummm- discretions?
And the real irony here? SO MANY ladies in Red agree with my point of view, yet are (rightfully) uncomfortable posting about it because it ultimately erodes the feeling of "sisterhood" that is necessary to help this board survive. I'm OK with that position. Probably because it comes from those that I respect- from their thoughtful and intelligent contributions, their insight and perceptions, their compassion, their life experiences etc. Rather than just random jibber-jabber that infects threads with self promotion. Or straight up 4th grade reading, writing, spelling and retention abilities.
At the end of the day the Red ladies pay the freight- I get it.
But certain bimbo mentalities, and the pure lack of comprehension skills displayed can really be annoying, and IMO actually undermine the credibility of the otherwise VAST majority of Reds.
Maybe just too many thin-skinned people- regardless of the handle colour.....?
And maybe a bit of a rant here- and perhaps off-track on the subject of Perbatory- my verbosity overwhelms me sometimes.

I must be on a different PERB than other posters here. Or maybe there's some part of PERB, besides the Lounge and the reviews, that I don't know about, where people are hanging out and indulging in the behaviour described. I just don't see enough of this behaviour to bother getting excited about it.
See- you CAN disagree with a post and the poster doesn't have to feel he/she is being singled out or attacked, and then be inclined to perpetuate the thread with a lot of crying and whining and hurt feelings- regardless of any history involved.
And regardless of whether the point is gotten or not.
The only reason Service providers are willing to pay to advertise here is due to the amount of men who pay for sexual services. If the guys weren't here the women wouldn't be paying.
The value of a Review board is seriously undermined when the ones being reviewed have ultimate control. A review board with a DNR list is plain silly. Just my opinion.

the thing is Perb needs paying advertisers ...most of us do not Need perb , it is just one of many places to advertise .
