Anything with kale and a touch of citrus dressing slaps hard. Especially during the summer. I say this as someone who eat meat for 80% of my meals

I hate kale unless it's with some juicy tomatoes 😋, along with other wonderful ingredients. Unfortunately, I haven't been growing my own kale and tomatoes this year.
I've also been including dices apple pieces recently to pick up the flavour a bit

My favorite is a low fiber potato salad originally from Warwick QC

Sliced potatoes fried in oil , squeaky stringy cheese of some kind and for dressing you add a mi-beef mi-chicken base BBQ sauce .... It used to be called a "Mix" . Served hot for some strange reason...very yummy 😋

I have many favorites.
With that said i wish I could justify going to olive garden more often, IMHO their house salad is next level.

I’m fortunate that I can pick salad from my garden: lettuce, kale, chard, red orach, arugula, broad beans, chives, cilantro, parsley, nasturtium flowers, and borage flowers.

Had a Chinese Wood Ear Mushroom salad a couple times, that's probably up there. I like those Sunomono Noodle salads all the sushi places around here serve too. I like a Greek salad with a ton of chunky Feta and olives.

Yeah basically any salad that has tons of oil and/or sugar in it. 🥗

Lots of great salads mentioned already, so I'll add:

coleslaw ... if fresh. Nothing worse that that watery, limp crap that's served too often.

carrot/beet salad -- again, needs just the right amount of marinating to be crispy but flavourful.

cucumber salad ... when fresh it can really slap! Once it gets slimy it's basically compost.

fruit salad. Not that shit from a can, but a nice mix of fresh fruits that can stand a day or two in the fridge. Just toss the apples/pears with some lemon juice so they don't turn brown.

I like sliced tomato 🍅 and steak 🥩 salad. 😋 mmmm.

Actually, it’s just a big-ass steak with a couple of tomato slices on it. Lol. Shit, the things people call salad…. If it aint green…

OK, feta-forward greek salad with firm cucumber, quartered cherry tomatoes, purple onion, extra virgins, oregano, but no ficking green pepper. Yummm!

Hit me with the Cobb.baby, especially the thin sliced egg and crumbled bacon with blue cheese. OMFG.

Yup, Ceaser for sure, but I want the long freshly grated parm on top, and real slivers of anchovies. Ooooh baby!

When I was young I used to like Tomato Aspic, usually served on special occasions, it usually had shrimp and a few herbs in it. Haven’t had it in years though.
