U.S. Border Services are most definitely not a fun bunch. Visited Tiajuana from San Diego once with a friend and coming back, we were loaded. My friend bumped the computer screen and wound up shutting down the system (all-in-one PC). The agent did not see the humor in it. It was an accident, but it sure took a lot to convince him of that and let us cross back into the US.
Honestly works for me with them, they ask what are you doing in TJ? I say " enjoyed the RLD" and its no problem coming back.
Can't say I can do that pooning in Canada.

It was the accidental shutdown of the agent's system that was the problem. Until that point, the agent was pretty easy going.

Hello friends!
I am alive and well!
I apologize for not checking in sooner - been a busy girl here in Reykjavik and have been enjoying myself so much that I have not even moved on to the rest of Europe yet!
I am currently not in the red (which can be a tricky maneuver from overseas!) so I will not discuss the juicy details of my trip at this time - but have much to share with you guys!
I will say this - Iceland is a very special place :)
I have made a ton of amazing friends here and am blown away by the warmth, authenticity and the generosity of spirit of the Icelandic people.
Initially I had to dial myself down a little - as just about every town and establishment open late and close early in the day. It feels much like people 'work to live' vs 'live to work' here. They appear to eat more, sleep more and celebrate more than other places I have been.

When I first arrived at the airport here at 2 am after traveling for 14 hours - to 10 hours of detainment - and then back on another 4 hour flight - I was TIRED (among other things)
I approached the Icelandic customs area and thought 'Oh crap - here we go'.....
Errmm...they were closed(?) Apparently the airport staff in Iceland goes to bed at a reasonable hour and no one cares too much about who enters the country at 2 am! Outstanding! And for me, Iceland has refreshingly so - been the land of 'Yes' ever since.
I am so grateful that I ended up here. TOTALLY where I needed to be :)

More to come soon. Missing you all back home!
As for the lovelies who have PM'd me, I will write you all back later today.
Thanks for thinking of me!! xoxo
