i suspect the word 'traumatized' better describes the news types than the locals... just sayin' :)

It's not long since that Prince of Whales whalewatching boat sank.
Those waters are beautiful but very dangerous.

Traumatic is an understatement

This is tragic. I've ridden on the foot passenger ferry to Ahousaht with some band members for work, they were first on the scene. My heart goes out to the families of those who suffered a loss and to ferry pilots who saved lives but also had the grim duty of pulling bodies from the water. The news coverage I've seen is saying they are quite traumatized.
Tragedy is always traumatic and the tofino storm season is just around the corner
Oceans and waters are unpredictable at best
Body's of water and especially tidal waters are powerful
I am busy booking a trip to Tofino in June
One of the hotels named Inn on the Tough City
Describes Tofino ............tough and rough seas
