of course they'll fuck it up. Hollywood fucks up almost everything they touch. Every time the make a movie based on a comic I read I get frustrated. I don't read Wonder Woman or any mainstream DC super hero titles, but I still believe they will fuck it up.
As I was telling a friend when I saw the costume, if I didn't know that that was supposed to be Wonder Woman then I wouldn't know. I think in their effort to "modernize" it, they just made it generic and non-distinct. It could work, I mean Wolverine doesn't look anything like the traditional yellow jump suit guy from the comics and cartoons.
