I count 3 computers, 1 smartphone and 1 tablet... That seems a little overwhelming and difficult to keep track of, is all your data in the cloud or on a server somewhere so you can access it all?in order of most used to least - S3 phone that I use as a lifeline, hp envy in living room as media centre sometimes photo processing machine, asus pc for work/hobby/photo edits whatever at my desk, macbook air for when i travel/bedroom when I'm home, samsung tablet I kind of use when I'm in bed mostly for web browsing
needless to say I really like computers, as great as having a phone that can do so much is.. a real computer is far from obsolete for most of what I need to do beyond shop online and stare mindlessly at instagram
I have to say though. I love my iPad most for watching movies on the couch. Much better than the TV. You put on some good headphones and with the tablet in hand... it's very immersive. Feels like you are at the movie theatre! (without all the other annoying people around).I use my iPhone when I'm out, and my Macbook when I'm at home. I see no need for an iPad at this time...
OK but how is that experience different from doing the same thing with a 13" Macbook?I have to say though. I love my iPad most for watching movies on the couch. Much better than the TV. OK, thanks for the info. I've always been amazed by the possibilities, I just haven't been able to justify the expenditure! :nod:Hmm well. If you are holding the ipad the screen is much closer and seems bigger. The sound through the headphones is outstanding!
The retina screen is also amazing!
I agree. When the iPad came out at first, I thought it was the stupidest thing ever. Then I bought one.... I am on my third iPad now. It's amazing. When you pair it up with the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard... it's a kickass little laptop. My IPad has me by the balls, I can't seem to put it down. I have an iPhone which also gets lots of use but the 2 pc's haven't been updated in months just doing it now and I thought tablets were a joke when I first saw them. Back engineered from the bridge of Startrek next gen, nerds love this stuff and I'm becoming one.
So sad that movies are all 1080p or lower, so retina does squatHmm well. If you are holding the ipad the screen is much closer and seems bigger. The sound through the headphones is outstanding!

I'm thinking about getting an Ipad - but I have a Windows computer.I have to say though. I love my iPad most for watching movies on the couch. Much better than the TV. You can stream from iTunes to any iOS device, I believe it is only for mp4 files though. Theresa also airplay mirroring and if you are watching them offline you can just copy it over to your iPad.I'm thinking about getting an Ipad - but I have a Windows computer.
I usually download the movies from the internet in .avi to my computer and then convert them and transfer them over to my Samsung android phone to view.
Would I still be able to transfer my movies over to the Ipad to watch?
I'm assuming because it's 2 different systems - no?
Seriously!I have a 65 inch TV why the fuck would I want to hold a tablet 3 inches from my face to watch movies
You can either use the tablet as a remote or to stream to the tv.I have a 65 inch TV why the fuck would I want to hold a tablet 3 inches from my face to watch movies
