Hi People. Looking for suggestions for a hotel in Winnipeg this weekend for a getaway of fun (you know what I mean). The last little while we have been to the Fairmont, Mariaggi, and Canad Inns. I'm not opposed to going back to one of these just thought I'd get some input from others. I was also thinking AirBnB, but they are so hard to book short notice.

As an update, thinking about The Mere on Waterfront. Has anyone been there? Three Winnipeg hotels made the top 50 list in Canada; The Fairmont, Inn at the Forks, and The Mere.
I don’t go downtown after a complete disaster at the Ramada on Portage and Smith. TV didn’t work, parking lot was full, drunks in the hallways, room service MIA.
Been to a few super nice AirBnB’s near the waterfront. I’d look into them over a hotel, but only for a longer/premium visit.

The Inn at the Forks has a comfortable vibe, nice hotel in a safe area. Also a good place to stretch your legs when you need a break from fun in your room. A couple of the suites have jetted tubs, not full multi person Jacuzzis but room for two 
Just as a follow up. Some hotels were actually fully booked for the weekend. Found that very strange, maybe something was going on in Winnipeg this past weekend. Ended up getting a suite at the Sandman. I was very impressed. Great staff, decent selection of snacks and drinks on site 24hrs. Room had a wet bar, microwave and fridge. Separate bedroom with king bed and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. I also thought it was a reasonable price compared to some of the other hotels.
