I dug up this TW thread so I could vent a bit. Of course I've always thought he was a punk so his act yesterday was nothing shocking to me. I just wonder how long the networks and his fans will continue to kiss his ass. No matter how much poor treatment they get from him. Watching Jim Roberts chase after his Benz was sad.

Woods hates the media and the common people who are golf fans. Why do they still adore him?
If you were Tiger or if you had his skills/ability and were his equal in the PGA would you not also hate the media?.....the media that not only paid massive amounts of attention to you before his cheating crisis hit the fan and then most likely a lot more???....would you not hate having people following you around and putting you life under a microscope?....I know I sure as fuck would hate that.

Tiger has it made....he has more money than anybody on PERB can dream of having.....he is a member of Augusta and gets not only to play that course as a member but as a player in the field of every Masters tournament till he is 65....and after that he still gets to play that course...and Augusta National is HEAVEN ON EARTH if you play golf...hey newsflash....guess who has tried to get membership at Augusta for the last 20+ years.....Bill Gates is who and he has been blackballed....the richest man on earth at one point...damn aint that a kick in the teeth LOL

Tiger's goal is not money...his goal is the pinnacle of golf...to break the record for majors....he has 14 and he has to get 19 to raise the bar and to seriously set the bar higher he is most likely wanting 22.

I seriously envy the money Tiger has and gets and I wish I had his skills and abilities and I wish I could play Augusta National anytime I choose(seasonal and tee time permitting) but I would not want the fame and scrutiny that comes with it.

Stop the hating Fillup.

Tiger WAS exciting before his meltdown.
I liked to watch him but did not like him.
hate his temper tantrums and he is still doing it , last week he dug his 4 iron deep into the tee box sod.....
any other player would probably get suspended for that.
Then he walks off on the 12th hole , wtf? injury? BS !!!
He was playing like shit . not sure how it works but walking off and not finishing probably helped his standing.
I just hope we dont get a "awe , poor boy " preformance at the Masters , with him limping around grimincing in bs pain.

Finally time to weigh in here. I think Tiger is deep into the downswing of his career. Problem he faces is soft tissue injuries will continue to diminish his health and abilities. Ligaments, tendons, cartilage. I believe firmly he used PED's. His 'friendship' with the Clear guy is all I need to know to find him guilty of PED use. I think he has 1 or 2 majors left in his career. That's it. Not good enough to pass Jack. Sorry Tiger.

I think that's a very fair and reasonable opinion.

I personallt don't care if he used PED's (granted kinda odd in golf) because the majority of athletes in all sports have used (professional level) At this point I don't even care to discuss who's used and who hasn't. They almost all say they haven't but guess what, they aren't all telling the truth. Although I do believe John Daly when he says he hasn't :pound:

To me PED's are a non-issue in all sports. You really think the NFL doesn't know their dudes are using?
Well, I think PED's are causing major problems in sports nowadays. Look at the concussions in every major contact sport. This is a direct result of the larger, stronger, more muscled athletes. NHL and NFL are going to have to make MAJOR adjustments to their games when more data comes out about the long-term impact of repeated concussions. With golf, what about the Tiger rule changes at Augusta. What happens if somebody invents a cream where somebody can regularly launch a drive 375-400 yards.

I don't have any data to back it, just my opinion based on the timing. Even in baseball, players didn't do things like lift weights till sometime in the 90's. The common belief was that weight-lifting would negatively impact agility. I think that weight-lifting routine in the PGA was later, and was pretty much started by Tiger. Makes sense to me that he would be the first to also use PED's. If so, he had an unfair advantage during some of his best years.

If the playing field is level, all players are using equal HGH, equal steriods, equal horse tranquilizer shots, etc maybe its okay within a year. But I don't like the idea of using them for the impact on historical comparisons.

Was a big Tiger fan when I thought we just was superior with his abilities, work-ethic, mental toughness, dedication, overcoming the racial barriers. So many things. Little bit of hero worship. Then the hero was outed. Now I don't like him and root against him every chance I get.

Could this be the week that Tiger puts together 4 decent rounds and gets back into the winners circle? Bay Hill is one of his many playgrounds so we will see.

After today, I will say he has a good chance to win a major this year!

I say that the green jacket is Tiger's for the taking.....he played wickedly this week and he won by 5 strokes....and I bet McDowell felt like he was having a stroke when he sailed those putts far left of the hole on the last 2....hell I would have made those putts.

I will give McDowell his due and a tip of the hat for his courtesy to Tiger on the 18th....he missed his putt and asked if it was OK to finish off even though he could have marked it.....he had the decency to finish and allow Tiger to finish and enjoy his victory....that is a mark of class....though if it came down to it being a 1 stroke victory I am sure he would have marked it to put the preasure on Tiger.

Here and There
Caught a glimpse of Tiger during his post victory interview. I don't remember his face looking that old!! That had to be one rough stretch. As much as I would love the money and privilege that would come with his fame, I think the public scrutiny would outweigh it all.

Tiger has been back since his victory at his own tournament in December. He has been putting the pieces together and had a good start to the season but since he is measured by a different standard, he had to win to officially be back. I laugh at the Tiger haters who say that the top 3 golfers in the world were not there this weekend. What a joke. McIlroy has 3 PGA victories, Westwood has 2 and Donald has 5. Between those 3 there is one major.

These Europeans are not Tigers biggest threat on US soil. I hope Rory spends more time playing in the US because it will be great to see him have some real battles with Woods over the next 5 years or so. Golf broadcasters must be licking their chops knowing the ratings will be through the roof for the Masters.
