Timing is everything:
Once upon a time, before retirement, I would read the Globe and Mail over my second cup of coffee, and then head in to work. For some reason, one day, I took the paper in to work and had my read and second cup there. The change in timing meant I saved ten minutes on my commute, so my daily habit changed. I know that change will not work for everyone, but it is worth a thought.
On the topic of failure to signal - a real pain - I think of an experience back in the day in Ontario. At that time OPP officers took their vehicles home with them. One morning I found myself following an OPP vehicle. There was no signaling through multiple turns and lane changes. When I got to work I phoned the local cop shop, and suggested that they might have a vehicle with malfunctioning turn signals. I have no idea if the call had any effect, but hopefully, someone was reminded of their responsibility.
