this is a quote from a thread in the vancouver review section

I just saw her ad on ERS as "Naughtia". Beware guys! Why dont these sp's improve their service instead of trying so many tactics.
https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?204689-sienna-in-cloverdale-WOT

why indeed?

do they hate sex but are driven to it out of desperation?

is it just in their nature to be dishonest - kinda like a used car salesman?

are they too addled through drug use to understand that they're sitting on a potential gold mine?

are they just bitter people by nature?

have men done them wrong so many times that all they can think of now is revenge?

i thought a discussion about this might reveal a few other clues that i hadn't thought of. and if even one poor-service escort is convinced by this thread to change her ways, well that would be a win-win :)

I think every type of industry has:

1) Those who have a bad review and choose to better themselves

2) Those who have a bad review and don't care.

Of course, there are grey areas in there. In my line of work, I routinely see people who shouldn't be in this line of work yet continue to muddle their way through and take peoples' money. Just like in the escort business, there are those of us (tooting my own horn) who are great at what we do.

There are backpage Sps in Winnipeg who get bad reviews over and over. Others are repeatedly shown to be using fake pics, and continue usung those fake pics for months.

I seriously wonder if the review community is so small it is irrelevant. Bad reviews don't matter much.

I assume the precise motivations vary depending on the specific SP; the thread linked above does allude to one potential reason. The reality one has to remember is, (like in many industries), there are going to be some people who are in it solely to make some quick cash. They may not care what people think of them, may dislike the job, may not respect clients, may not care about the long-term consequences or earning potential and only the immediate financial benefits, and (gasp!) may not even read PERB or care about reviews. There are plenty of potential clients who don't even know that review boards exist or do but don't take the time to research the SP before seeing her. In addition, an SP can just change her name and number to (at least temporarily) avoid being associated with her bad rep.

If someone has no desire or ability to provide good service, and no moralistic sense as to why they should, why would they change what they are doing when clearly they are still able to make money at it? There always seem to be clients who will see the SPs who are providing poor service or outright scamming people. How many times on this board have we heard about clients not doing research beforehand or continuing on with a session despite outright deception (the SP looking nothing like her photos being a common example - this often seems to be accepted if her rates are low enough and/or the guy is horny enough).

The sad truth is that some SPs do this job out of desperation and not as a career.

This is a VERY good discussion and I am glad my quote was used to start it. bu

I have always pondered this question myself. IF I want to work in an industry for a long time, I would bend over backwards to please most of my clients, unless I ran into an idiot.

But cowboy, you have listed all the valid possible reasons. In my short life in this hobby, once I have been a victim of fake pictures (Asian micro, surprise surprise!!) but I stayed. . Once, it was b and s. (I walked ). Once I didnt read the ad properly and ran into a cold, newbie and she was the most expensive too. !!!!

Some people you click with and some people you don't. I stopped bending over backwards a looooong time ago in an effort to just be myself and not altering myself to become what clients like.

Westwoody also brings up an interesting point.
I would be interested to read some of your reviews travellor. Will you provide some links?

I have concluded that MANY are not in this on their own accord, MANY are either being forced or manipulated and MANY are using it to fund a habit or three. In all of those situations, hard to imagine "client service" being at the front of their minds. I take a certain shop that is still trying to set up in Langley - consistently using fake or very old pictures, pulling bait and switch, pulling massive upsell once in the door and if all that fails, getting their 'muscle' involved to make sure they can keep their little scam from getting to much press (e.g. Perb exposure). If I was to guess, none of the actual escorts in this venture are keen to be there but are being handled by someone(s) they somehow owe something to.

Asian micros is another example where few, very few I would suspect, are "happy" about doing what they are doing.

If you're still able to "bend over backwards" feel free to PM me a link to one of your ads :p :D

Reviews and service, of course, have to be taken into context.

A bad review does not necessarily equate with bad service, as it is subjective. It could be the client has other reasons for writing the review. It could mean the SP and the client did not click in some way, either on an emotional or physical level. So all reviews cannot be taken literally, and the fact that one client does not like an SP does not mean that another one will not.

That said, assuming the service was "bad" from an objective, and not a subjective, perspective, it still needs to be considered whether the SP did not connect with that particular client in some way, and thus provided objectively "bad" service which is not normally provided.

That then takes us with the OPs actual question - why are there SPs who give objectively bad service as a norm?

I would think the best people able to answer this question would be SPs. I have been in this hobby for a long time and have had very few "bad" experiences - most likely because I research very carefully before visiting an SP, so I know what to expect.

I would speculate that SPs who provide objectively bad service are those that do not like being SPs, and are either being coerced into doing it by another, or pressured into doing it for financial means. Being an SP is a rather unique occupation which spans physical, emotional, spiritual and moral issues. If someone is pressured into doing it for whatever reason, and has misgivings about it for any reason, then service will likely drop off in accordance with those misgivings. How bad it gets will likely depend on how intense those misgivings are.
