Why are we so low on Reviews?

i know i have only been back 2 weeks, but am i just missing something or have reviews decreased alot?

i am not one to complain, but i feel i am entitled to do so; i don't mind putting up some fresh reviews, but if it is just going to be my reviews going up with a whole bunch of "ass-grabbing" as somebody else coined in the other threads, then what is the point?

i know many posters stick to their "regulars" but there have to be some other guys here who have a review to share.

so, if you are a lurker out there, show the Iceman some love and i will put some more roast beef on the dinner plate for everyone.

otherwise i may as well just PM my reviews just to my homeys and kind of go under the radar.

I would assume that any reviews would be in their designated city section and not in the General Discussion area....that being said, I've noticed a decline as well.

I think everyone now is getting rather comfortable with their own set of regulars and semi-regulars, and not really venturing out for something new. As someone else stated, do you really want to read reviews of the same SPs each week?

Perhaps the whole MP scene is in dire need of hot fresh faces (which kinda ties into the "Bored" discussion in the Lounge - click here ). Recently, all we`ve seen is the rise in popularity of the two Supreme/Head To Toe gals and the goings-on there. I`m personally waiting for Penthouse to stabilize and unveil their new lineup online, and for ex-Penthouse boss Krissy to open her new MP.

Another reason could be that many guys are rebudgeting their pooning funds towards Christmas shopping.

no shit genius, i put this thread here because i "read" the Mod instructions to keep reviews in the review thread and other commentary (which de facto should include all "ass-grabbing" threads in this lounge). since this thread contains no reviews, per se, then it should be in this lounge area.

you just made my point. if the Mods moved the ass-grabbing threads over here where 90% of them belong, then the only new reviews are from me and Goju just wrote one that i will expound on as a token of good faith for him.

cman, i have no problems toftt as it is always fun and this is a contact sport. Wvine, i guess it could be Christmas season money management and that is why i asked about the declines.

well, gotta go write a review to repay Goju for his efforts.

I think the ratio of postings to reviews has fallen, as some of us have tended to keep to a certain roster of talent. Even if we will wander it is usually with a well reviewed player. We have a lot of traffic on the threads because it's like a party here, we all have a little something to say and we're pretty adult about differences of opinion.

I think that we've had a fair number of newbies posting reviews in the past weeks and that is welcome. But do you really want to read about my 14th visit with Kitty? or my 2nd with Lilith? When I finally visit Ariel at Fantasy what more can I add?

i have no problem with the ass grabbing, but it should be primarily a lounge phenomenon. i mean this is a lounge, what else do you expect?

plus i really am a firm believer in no one conception of the good is better than another (or however the abstract egalitarian principle goes) and if you don't like something posted, don't fvcking read it.

there are alot of strange things that get put up, especially in the Vancouver lounge and sometimes i want to throw out a barb, but then i realize that no barbs should ever be thrown, just ignore what you think is stupid. the only way fights start up is when 2 people want to fight with each other and go looking for conflict.

there used to be fights every week over the smallest things. i think that some strides have been made to just live and let live here and i consider that an improvement. everyone states their opinion, Alex gets her ass grabbed (with her full cute consent), and everyone goes home without black eyes.

Part of my reviewing absence stems from a lack of time to actually write the review, and I think putting a place holder is just idiotic. A second part stems from lack of money & time to visit the SP's. A third is a lack of interest in actually posting the review -- some responses are just damn nasty (especially if you post a negative review!)

Basically, I dislike them because most reviews (mine inlcuded) can be finished in the length of time it takes to type out the holder itself. Or I'm just a grumpy bastard.

I do think the reviews and successive post go rather quickly from the “atta-boys” to general discussion totally unrelated. I enjoy the banter and good humor its like playing in the SP’s “sandbox” so to speak… but others quickly become mini reviews of other gals in the same studio.
I liked Jims approach to this the other day. We were both posting on Lilith at the same time; Jim created a follow-up thread to single out the virtues of his second visit. …Good job Jim! Good review too!

On second thought, I've deleted what I was going to post and will leave it at that. My personal preference is for more threads and fewer postings per thread but then again you can't please all the people all of the time.

Bueller, nothing wrong with negative reviews as long as they are factual and respectful. Not everyone is going to like everyone but those points you find to your disliking CAN be expressed in a way that preserves ones dignity. I'm sure, for example, everyone HAS TO see (well maybe not everyone) the difference between, "tits are to small" and "I prefer them more well endowed". I can assure you I have seen ladies that I would most likely never see again and to say that, and why is great. That's what this board SHOULD be all about but at the same time that can be done without trashing someone.

I agree -- negative reviews are just as important as positive ones. I was whining about the posts that state that a person visited a certain SP but will review the session at a later date.

BSD, with all due respect - and I know you have been a great contributor to this board - I think you'll find that this board has been historically very intolerant of negative reviews. I posted one a while back, and it led to a string of unjustified flaming at the hands of a certain SP and her devotees.

Bueller's right...those "I'll review later" posts are a big disservice to everyone - and unfortunately all too common.

One big reason for the lack of reviews is certain people (two in particular) are too busy posting thread after thread of worship to certain SP's who post on PERB (which I don't have a problem with), to post any reviews. Check out the Edmonton section, it's quite obvious.

Seriously, it's great that you guys got such fantastic service from this lady or that lady, but enough with the genuflecting already - it's getting pathetic. Nothing wrong with the SP's posting, I'm all for it, and nothing wrong with everyone being friendly. But certain people are taking it too far.

I have to disagree that Negative Reviews result in Flaming...there have been many instances where a lot of others jumped on the bandwagon and agreed when there have been justified negative reviews. The thing that pisses a lot of us off...is when someone has a bad experience and doesn't let anyone else know...someone else winds up getting fucked and not in the nice way. I can't count how many times I've read "yeah I had the same experience...blah blah blah".
