Market saturation imo. The outcome can go one of two ways.
Prices drop from the extra competition or prices rise due to less clients per day per sp.
The former is not the case right now imo. In the case of the latter. When there are too many providers and less customers per day per sp (with no rise in customer base to offset it), less visits per day must be made up with charging for extras or raising prices per minute.
Previously a sp surviving off five visits a day at 200 per visit on average while generating a thousand dollars per day could justify not raising prices. If she discovers a drop of one visit per day occurs from these saturated market conditions, the sp will need to generate an average of 250 per visit to maintain her lifestyle. Four visitors a day at 250 as opposed to five at 200 will do so.
The sp income and cost of living must be met to stay in the industry and she must pass it on to the consumer to do so.
It only works so many times and if the sp provides excellent services, she will survive the price hikes and competitive challenges throughout her career. The rest will destined to retire or forced to leave for greener pastures in other cities.
