Thank you for finally addressing me directly.

I have ignored your childish comments for a while.

Perbs and my relationship is fine, we discuss promotions openly in private.
If you target my site at every given opportunity, do not expect me to not come after you by offering incentives to your customers.

The revenue we see through ads helps us promote our site and grow our user base. Shouting Free ads and insulting your competition will only get you so far.

My reasons mentioned before for not having ERSBook up is the truth.
It is something we already acknowledged and are working on implementing. It has nothing to do with server resources, in fact server prices are very economical these days.

This is a great opportunity for you to step up and be the free ad site for Vancouver, please embrace it and take it on.

There is enough room for both of us. Handling yourself in such a manner publicly is ill advised and shows immaturity.
Has Telus or Shaw called and offered you a promo to switch over? Competition is good for business

Time and time again, I have repeated this. If clients want 1 ad per user, there is perb and eros.

The fun and thrill of ERS and CL is new content.
For the clients: We have added an effective search tool.
For the advertisers: Introduced auto-repost to save them time.
For everyone: We have countered the large volume of ads by reducing it by 50%.

If I want to be like eros or perb I would open a directory and it would be 1 ad per user.

Ad volume is both our greatest strength and greatest weakness, and it is what makes us unique. Balancing this is the business.
Everyone has their own take on this, it is our job to find the magic number of ads per day and keep the site live and fun.

The right column ads work for me because I don't advertise or bump my ads every day, and I don't post only when I am available. I use erslist in the same way I'd use the Yellow Pages - I want my ad to be visible 24/7, not at any specific time.

I think the right column ads work better for you, cause you are massage.
It looks like only you and 3 others are using them in the massage section.
So it does stand out quite a bit more.

I have read enough flaming of ers. If you don't like the site don't use it. The non stop harassing by certain members has become apparent to me and that is not going to be tolerated moving forward. One ban and a warning already issued. Please don't make me take further action.

maybe its my browser (safari) or settings, but if i want to look at a second photo i have to click it, and another window opens.
i prefer the cl style of hovering over a pic to see the enlargement.

works differently today, i guess this feature has been installed/modified.
i like it now.

BTW if responsive and wordpress design are good enough for CNN, Ford, Anderson Cooper, Mashable, Tech Crunch, The NY Times, Pepsi, Sony Spotify, Wall Street Journal etc. they're good enough to run an ad site.

-None of the sites you mentioned are primarily classified sites.
-A lot of the sites you listed ONLY use wordpress as their blog, so these aren't the best examples.
I myself will eventually be using wordpress as my blog, and ipboard as my forum.

Well, lets leave the 'millionaire advice' out of this and go through some examples.

Ok. So I literally just typed in ‘top classified websites’ in google. ->I clicked the first link. -> http://blog.daype.com/tips/top-us-classifieds-websites.html

After going through all 20(They missed a bunch of the top sites, but over all its accurate enough for this example):
-2 of the 20 were responsive.
-0 of the 20 were built on a platform like ipb or wordpress.
-Maybe, a few had blogs on wordpress, but that is the extent of that.

The thing is, you are making a site and have obviously listed out your requirements and wordpress along with a responsive design met your needs. So in your case, that is great!
However, for myself not so much.

That doesn't make either of us wrong. It just means we have different needs and different opinions on this.

I am always open to a debate and am happy to admit I do not know everything and often make mistakes. However, if you are going to express your opinion, please understand and respect that not everyone will always agree with you and you won’t always be right.

I enjoyed the popup, then you can go through the images that way. I find it more convenient than the current image platform where I keep forgetting to go back to ad, and close the tab completely.

I understand you are now banned so you wont be able to respond, but I am sure this message will find its way to you.

You have now created not 1, but 2 threads on your site about ERSList and myself. Its your site and your the boss over there. I would ignore the threads but both the posts fabricate a story which isn't true. Obviously I can't respond there, so I will do so here.

It is clear now your method of operation is slander,slander and slander at any cost for your self gain. Which works in the short term as I am sure you got a ton of traffic from perb for free and have confused many members of the community. Being an admin yourself within the same industry as perb and ers, one would think you would be able to abide by the rules that perb sets and respect them. The mannerism in which you recently conducted yourself and the means by which you handled this incident was extremely unprofessional. There have been times Fred and his mod's and myself disagree - but with respectful communication things get resolved. The example you are setting for the members of this community sets some very low standards in how discussions should be handled and resolved.

In response to your comments regarding ERS on PERB, I offered incentives to your users to use my site. You are my competition after all! Clearly this has frustrated you, which I can very much understand. Today another local site went through all the ads on ERS and emailed all the users saying 'blah blah blah come over to our site its free, its easy and and its better then whats out there(adding specific references to ERS) and its going to be the next greatest thing!'. Sure, it kind of frustrated me me too. They invested their time in preparing a newsletter and creating a mailing list; I have to respect that and I absolutely wont be opening a thread to insult them.

Slander, fabricating stories and misrepresenting me to the community is unprofessional and shows your character and principles. Like or dislike my site, my business, or me; but kindly conduct yourself in a manner that sets the tone for the many users you welcome to your site every day. As a moderator and site owner you are expected and have the responsibility to show maturity and better judgement.

I kindly ask for you to delete the posts on your site and continue on going about your business. It is your site after all, so obviously its your decision.
All of us here, you, perb and myself are working within the same industry to serve the users needs as best as we can. We may not have to like each other, but some level of respect is expected and appreciated. Let's move on with this matter please.
