uh...Edmonton.
....for me, in a pretty cool place. I will be celebrating with my babies and their mother. Just like old times. And that....is what Christmas evokes....tradition, old times, family....regardless of form. Know that regardless of season, event, or circumstance.....the kids remain the same, their mother remains the same, and the father does exactly that too. Those are not "choices", those are just realities. There is one father, one mother, and god bless em....only one or two children. I hid the other ones.

My point here is that I received an invite from my ex to spend the holidays with them. Wow...first time ever...but, I wouldn't have accepted an invite at a different time either. This one made sense and I am grateful for it having been proferred. I will enjoy this quiet time and the sense of it.

I know this is open to the standard "oh you just want to get back with her or vice versa" type deal, and that's the beauty of a review board, we are all entitled to our opinions based on what we see and read.. I have other interests, she has the same, but.....what this speaks to me...in droves....is wow....this will be a good Christmas for our little dysfunctional family.

The family will never change....one mother, one father....I am not a fan of "step" anything. I don't mind them, I just haven't seen it work. But, I have a limited view.

What I do know, and what I am grateful for...is the lesson given to those wonderful babies......regardless of circumstance, people can work through differences, and come together to share a celebration of things larger than themselves..... And, I think, isn't that just what Christmas is all about.

I wish each and all of you a wonderful season. It is hard on a single....I know this...I never accept an invite from friends to celebrate "with" them....my thinking is that it is a special season of inward thoughts. New Years is a different matter....

This year, I don't have to ponder things, I will just exist and enjoy. That's a simple and wonderful state.

kindest,

eddie.

Yeah right, I'm sure you will find something to ponder about heehee. ;)

It sounds like you have a special and joyful Christmas to look forward to, I'm very happy for you Eddie and wish you all the best. :)

Today will determine what I'll be doing for Christmas, either continuing to work since it never fails that there are problems that occur when you want to execute a plan to finish up before the holidays, or I'll be off and at home where there is no tree or exchanging of presents, I'll take the time to catch up on sleep.

I'll probably make an appearance at the annual family dinner, thats always good for giving me something to be thankful for.

Take care everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. :)

Nice to be back after spending the Christmas holidays with family members in OC. Yups! spending time with family is truly priceless. Was in the same plane late last night with this Vancouver-based Italian jeweler and he was just truly amazed with the spending power of Vancourites during the past few months. Well, you gotta love this beautiful city. :)
