Where do you like to hang out?

I work from home and some days I'd much rather be out working somewhere else... In the past I've been to the usual suspects like Starbucks and Waves Coffee where there's free wifi, but I'm curious, where do you guys like to hang out?

Even if it is just a place to sit, and enjoy the scenery or whatnot.

If it's to get work done, I like to go to any local library. I like to go to the college library sometimes too, I blend in with college students.

If it's to enjoy a drink and look @ hot women, Orange #5.

I love hanging out in book stores. Other venues include the beach, hotel lounges and the Seawall (either Stanley Park or West Van).

Other places are Casino, Restaurants all over town...just nothing stuffy full of yuppy yaletown queers, checking out AMP line-ups, coffee shops, mall, friends places, gym, ...

I don't like going downtown until after 10 pm because I am not paying to park in this shithole and support those overpaid Municipal workers...and I don't take the bus or skytrain!

The Sylvia hotel is nice on a sunny day, great view and the food and drinks are so good.
I love just walking downtown people watching.....great city for that.

Definetely agree with lady-Via, gay bars are fun and never a dull moment.

my fave would be Commercial drive when it's nice, even when it's not so nice. I am a fan of joe's cafe. To seenice eye candy, I like to sit and people watch at Burrard sky train. Yummy guys and some hot chicks in business atire:nod:

Urban Fare in Yaletown is great, awesome people watching there. I like to relax a pubs as they are usually slow and quiet mid day- Lamplighter, Black Frog, Pivo, etc and they all have free wifi if you just ask for the password

I dated a girl who worked at UrbFare yaletown. She worked in the restaurant, busty serbian girl. Anyways she told me NEVER eat their. Stories like scoping mold off the top of something and using the rest. And then you pay top dollar.....

I would say it is a thread for loners .. i don't hear any mention of hanging with someone other then maybe meeting some interesting people .

I use to have a favorite pub or two in Victoria , drive in to town , 20 mim drive or if I am in town i will still drop in there to avoid the rush hour traffic home at night . I used to have a few regulars that i talked to but they have mostly moved on now .. Some cute and friendly waitresses all way made it a joy to be there

These days in come down the mountain for lunch and the regular Langford pub, I know the manager and the waitress are kind of friendly.. But i just a loner..

Have a friend i go for walks with late at night .. usual walk down from head street to the Songhies along water way.
