How many of these ladies are being pimped by their SO's???????????

I'm sure we'll see some controversy here but in my opinion anyone who gains from any Sp selling herself is a PIMP and probably should not be on this board.

Just to clear up any confusion here, I don't mean sharing rent or money for groceries. I do mean taking money for driving, arranging meetings or otherwise assisting the Sp for a share of her earnings. You don't have to be a thumbreaker or a scary abusive controlling nitemare to be a lowlife and a leech.

So, if someone is helping an escort book appointments, make her a website, driver her to jobs, or whatever, they should get paid for that service. The amount of payment should be determined by what the escort is willing to pay, and what the person doing the service is willing to work for.

If someone is just taking money for doing nothing, then clearly that's unfair, and I'm not arguing with that.

I think if a gal is working as an SP, as long as she isn't forced to work, and there is an understanding between them, the money is theirs.
When I was married, my wife an I both had jobs. She spent mine, and I spent hers. Our money was pooled and paid everything that needed to be paid.
In my eyes, thats a relationship, or a marriage.
Now I agree thet the SO should be doing his part. Be it driving, web sites, making appointments or whatever it takes. If the SO isn't pulling their weight and doing their job, just like any self employed person(s), you shouldn't get a dime.
It's all up to the couple who is doing it. I don't imagine being an SO to an SP is always easy. It's a sacrifice at times even I'm sure. Others might find it easy, but I think it would have it's moments.
Both are giving up a lot. No pun intended.

I'll disagree, at least on the driver aspect.

Let's say I'm on really good terms with a lady who comes touring to my hometown. Good enough terms that we can do coffee off the clock, but I still pay for sessions. Let's say that she wants me to drive because she likes my car, because we like the chance to chill and talk, and because she doesn't find me creepy, or a myriad of other reasons. Now, she's got all her appointments lined up already so all I need to do is take her there. If she wants to buy my gas and give me a little something for my time (reading perb on my cellphone while I wait is expensive) how does that make me her pimp?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: what the f*k do I care what an SP does with the money I give her so long as she puts out (am I channelling the sprit of Hitrack?). We pay for a slice of time and then we go our separate ways. I won't presume to bother the ladies with my dealings with various twits this week, and I won't get all up in her face about what she does outside the session. Maybe after a few times we might get to talking about all that, but really I have no business getting worked up on how she spends the money after I hand it over.

What's next - do we gang up on VancouverDerek or SWG for taking money for shooting photos or websites? Those are pretty damn business-critical...

How often did your wife help you with your job?

I dated an Sp for a time, and the last thing I wanted was to get involved with her work, if she didn't feel right about a date I was more than happy to call and check in on her or keep time for her, FOR FREE. She was for a time "my girlfriend" and I treated her that way. If she wanted to spring for dinner now and then, fine, it was her money. Let me reitterate.

If one has an S.O and he drives her to appointments...he is NOT her pimp...IF one has an S.O who expects to be paid for driving her or any other things he does..based on her booking..then he IS a pimp.

Pimps take money for services relating to her SPing...If he doesn't take one dirty cent from her..he's anything BUT a pimp.

The modern definition of a pimp is that of a controlling man who objectifies women and forces them to prostitute themselves as a means of bringing in money for himself, giving the women a small portion of their earnings. As times have changed, so has the image of the pimp.

I hardly think Mav's / Ashley's arrangement fell within this definition.
