Leaving aside the particulars of Ashley and Mav, I was still curious about the meaning of pimp so I checked and most definitions on the web say its the guy that procures customers for her in exchange for some of her earnings.
Ash and her supporters can make up whatever technical definitions you want in order to support her position, but consider the following:
1. She was paying $1000/month rent in Winnipeg. She now pays $3000/month rent.
2. My house if rented would probably command about $3000 a month. Split that in 2 and you get $1500. There were some months I never even got that, which means I did all the driving, errands, and admin for free. We sat down, worked the numbers, and agreed on a contract, which Ashley and I SIGNED. In fact, the first month I worked for peanuts, and it was Ashley that thought I was making too little for all my efforts and insisted I get more due to her generosity. You can adjust the numbers any which way you want to make me look bad. I know (and the sober Ash knows) in my heart I am not a pimp and I take great offense to being called one. A pimp keeps his girls addicted to drugs so they cannot escape. I took Ash to counselling and did everything in my power to keep her off drugs. We had a plan to get her out of the business and it was working until the shit hit the fan with her former party friend visiting from out of town.
Right now, the dealers she buys her crack from and her landlord are technically her pimps if you want to go with that definition. Virtually all her money goes to those 2 people since she barely eats.
I am sober and I have a clear conscience.

It seems that the services that you have listed are very similar to that provided by an agency, who take a portion of the SP's earnings in exchange for advertising, incall (if provided), drivers, booking etc... Are they lowlifes as well?hardup said:

I'm not trying to get anyone riled up here, but consider tha Mav was probably in a unique situation and it's difficult for anyone to try and understand why people do the things they do while in a relationship. Just like when girls stay with guys that beat them, everyone thinks they are crazy, and maybe they are, but they rationalize whats going on and justify their place in the relationship. Maybe this is what happened. I know it's easy to point fingers at you..and really I'm not trying to do that at all..but shit man...you can justify it anyway you want..but in terms of what a 'pimp' is...it sounds like you fall in that catagory..you don't need to feed her the crack pipe to be a pimp..you only need to organize, deliver the goods and get paid for it....
Now with all that being said..you in no way deserved to be robbed...but if you bring a rabid pig in your house..chances are you will get rabies and pigshit everywhere. The first second someone attacks me or gets violent (SO or roommate)..they are fucking DONE...she 'stabbed' you and still you let a violent cracked out Sp live with you?
I would never allow a crackhead in my house...much less take money from her and drive her to the very calls that enable her to put that glass pipe in her mouth.
