This happened a few weeks ago.

Was going to shop at a place with a large, free parking lot.

I found an open spot, and was about to pull in, had a signal on, and was already starting to angle towards the spot, when a small car zipped in, and took it.

I was pissed, but not irate, but I admit, it irked me at the time, and I laid on the horn, and probably put my hands up in a “WTF?”, and moved on, since there were quite a few open slots.

Then this happened - as I was walking into the store, a young woman marched towards me and let loose with a barrage of swearing, hand waving and screaming about what a fucker I was, I don’t own the place, who do you think you are, fuck you, fuck, fuck and more fucks.

At first, I wasn’t sure what was happening, or even if it was directed at me, but then figured out it was the woman who stole my spot, and SHE’s the one that was angry because I honked?

When she got in my face, I started shouting back (probably the wrong move, but at the time…).

I quickly got tired of the drama and went into the store. She followed, still swearing up a storm, and didn’t look like she was losing steam, so I left the store before shopping, and drove away.

I’m sure she basked in her victory, but what else could I do, without ending up on YouTube, or the evening news?

Dash cams are becoming must haves to prove your side in any traffic confrontation these days. She easily could have attacked you and then attempted to flip the script when the cops arrive, painting you as the aggressor.

You did the mature thing . Even if it burns inside to let her have some satisfaction.

Oh well as Canadians we are all pretty good in terms of passive aggressiveness control.

Tipping my hat to you Sir

A guy sideswiped me and took off, then told the cops I hit him and attacked him. My dashcam showed him to be lying.
If you do have an in-your-face confrontation try and do it in front of the camera.

This sounds like a typical weekend at a Costco parking lot - I have not been party to any of these all too frequent incidents, but I have witnessed them, especially at the Richmond Costco. I usually just shake my head and laugh with the surrounding drivers also witnessing the embarrassing behavior of these legal adults.

You did the right thing. Walk away! For someone to escalate a trivial situation to that level reflects how emotionally sick they are. The best revenge is to ignore them and let them continue to spiral towards a bitter wasted life of unhappiness!

Yeah, I think I did the right thing by leaving, but I'm not proud to say if it had been a man it probably would have gone on longer and escalated.

You didn't say where this happened?
Maybe she was moving towards a hate-crime depending on your/her ethnicity?
Maybe she's just nuts?

I'd walk away, but probably tell her to fuck right off first.

Pull out your phone and record. Go to store security and complain that you're being harassed and assaulted.

Had something similar happen to me. Woman driver and I were heading towards the same two parking spaces face to face. She saw me coming towards her and decided she wanted my place. Leaving the space she could have pulled into empty behind her so she could block me out of my space. I had to throw my car into reverse to avoid a head on collision. Which resulted in me hitting a car behind me. Cunt rolled up her window and started playing with her cell phone. Her son jumped out of the car and started yelling at me and pointing to his chin yelling " hit me". While I had to exchange insurance particulars with the car I hit, an RCMP cruiser came through the parking lot. I hoped he would intervene in some way on my behalf. No.
