No such thing as a "simple life" once you get married LOL:nono:Well you don't need a million to do that. You need about $800 bucks. Me, I'd buy a cabin on an island in Howe Sound, get married and disappear
+1Considering a million dollars doesn't get you nearly as far as it did 10-20 years ago, I'd probably end up investing it conservatively.
Home sweet home. But it will cost you 1.2 million.Truthfully though, if I had a million dollars I'd probably invest it into a house and with prices in Vancouver I'd have a nice little shack =)
Investing's fine, why conservatively though? That wouldn't even cover inflation (after tax). When you don't need that money to survive, you can afford a normal level of risk to get a few extra tens of K / year, perpetual and growing with inflation.Considering a million dollars doesn't get you nearly as far as it did 10-20 years ago, I'd probably end up investing it conservatively. There's not a whole lot I'd splurge on, as I've got everything I want in my life. I might be less ambitious at work and/or consider opening a small business.
What, you haven't seen Office Space either? Still a classics, even if you discount a bit naive description of that old software exploit.Well you don't need a million to do that. You need about $800 bucks. Me, I'd buy a cabin on an island in Howe Sound, get married and disappear
It is. Addiction to money = addiction to drugs. It makes you do things you normally wouldn't do.Money is addictive
This applies to both buyer and seller. Look at what organized crime does just to make money from drugs. It is. Addiction to money = addiction to drugs. It makes you do things you normally wouldn't do.
Exactly! Let the wind be my guide. Enjoy the freedom.Go to the airport and see what unfolds.
