I loved these little candies called bonkers when i was younger. Not many places have them anymore. They are sorta like starburst!..My mom still sends them to me in my x-mas and birthday care packages from toronto

That is a nice shopping area. I still like tootsie roll {sweet tooth?} but alsoluv-em-n-lv-em said:Well, we agree on one thing. Now I find them sickeningly sweet and the constant chewing hurts my jaw.
There is a really nice candy store on Broadway just west of McDonald on the north side. I think it is called Candy Isle or something like that. It has a lot of candy that brings back memories from long ago.
Yes, I remember those wax whistle. I guess I'm an oldtimer! LOL They were yellow, you could play a tune or so and you could chew on the wax afterwards. Other than making me more vertically challenge and growing a third leg, I think the wax was edible!westwoody said:Does anyone remember a thing like a harmonica or a pan pipe made out of a barely edible wax? You could really play notes on them and when you got tired of playing with them you could eat them.
That sounds like Taverner's Fruit Drops. I loved them too!Mchatte said:My favorite candy came in a can. I forget the name but it was a little black can with very colorful and very tasty hard fruit-type candies inside.
Sounds like a guy in my Montreal neighbourhood who offered candy in return tor kids touching his dick! He tried that with me when I was about eight, but I ran away. When I was about 11 years old, I remember a scruffy old bachelor in town that gave them to me but I used to have to go to his place to get them.
