I strongly disagree.
I've met many hockey players, and ALL were assholes.
Yet when I meet regular people its more like 1 in 20 is an asshole. Yesterday I had interactions with about 20 something people, and found them all perfectly pleasant.
Be it from the grocery store, parts store, shoppers drug mart, the people who were in line at all 3, the lady beside me at the car wash who I had a great chat with, the the guy picking up his mail while I was doing the same, and so we had a 15 minute chat at the mail boxes.

Everyone in Prince George is a hooker or a hockey 🏒 player…! ! !

This is the thing about forums and comments taken out of context AND when generalizations include no delimiters.
Actually I do know many athletes and from a pretty weak university football career but one none the less as well as hockey, baseball, basketball etc I do know about the aggression but saying ALL is just not right.
And to add, fellow pooner 3chainz, I didn't challenge any of your posts, but what the hell, eh? Its another glorious day here in the lower mainland and I think I'll just do some yard work, then hit the gym and do some old guy lifting to work off that locker room aggression.

Competitive sports at high level attract competitive people. A large part of that is constant aggressiveness. Now add in tren/deca/hgh which everyone from 15 to 70 seem to be using.
There are recreational leagues that are mostly okay but even there are guys who can’t play just for fun and have to be assholes. eg: One guy I know gets off on busting other’s expensive sticks for no reason.

At the age of Junior hockey I had a number of friends who went on after Jr. One on one they were great friends. Throw them into a celebratory party their Assholeness was over the top.

The end of year party had all the GF’s and puckbunnies in attendance. The pool and sauna was like something out of Caligula. Their aggressive behaviour towards these 17 & 18 yr old girls was crazy. All it would take is one phone call to the cops and they all would have been in deep shit.

At least I had the common sense to get out of there pretty damn quick.

So yah, I’m not surprised at all about the rumours about the Tofino event at all. It’s in their DNA to act like assholes.

I know the families of a few Cougars, Blazers, and Rockets.

Their own families are embarrassed at how they act.
Around 5 years ago a couple assholes picked a fight with some others in a restaurant in PG. They got the shit kicked out of them, by far overestimating their fighting prowess. When the cops arrived, it was not a surprise to anyone that they were cougars. A few more idiots went online from the cougars saying they were all going to get together, and beat up those few guys. They again underestimated the fine regular folks of my fair city, and before their next game was about to begin, a group of men and women met the cougars bus as it pulled up to rink. Those little cowards wouldn't even open the bus doors, much less get off the bus.
Hockey players are bullies and assholes, until stood up to, and taught a lesson.

They also confuse a little on ice scrap, while wearing A Lot of protective gear, and refs pulling them apart, with a real no rules street fight, with say a group of loggers, who can tear them apart with their bare hands.
But boy oh boy are they arrogant, and think highly of themselves.
I know a very nice girl who was beat up, and raped by a hockey player.
He thought he was tough shit beating up a 16 year old girl...but found out that he was not as tough when a few people who love her got hold of him. He also discovered that locking the door doesn't stop anyone, it just delays them getting in by about 3 seconds, and they are then even more angry.
I couldn't have less respect for a group of people.
