Well since I guess I started this topic in a way, I should say something.

The thing is I have lots of kinks. We'd be here all day if I listed them all. But I haven't acted on most of them.

Kinks I've acted on: cross-dressing, water sports, dato, and a bit of foot worship and I guess a bit of sub. But not a real BDSM scene with someone who knows how to do it.

And I'm not sure I want to go all the way with BDSM.

it's not hard to articulate...and no foul for you having said what you said. i remember last summer...i met a cool Domme...we became good friends...and that was the extent of it. Kink Top 5 (Hopefully Top 10 <or more> some day )

When I visit dommes occasionally there is a lot of apparatus they have that I don't know what it's for - some of it looks scary. I've been curious about how/what certain things are used for, but no SP has ever offered a tour and I've never asked. Usually sessions start as soon as you arrive. Often you'll be shown the door fairly soon after your time is up.

Question for SPs with well-equipped dungeons: would it be out of place to ask for a tour of your dungeon and a short explanation of the apparatus? You can see stills of some of this stuff in use online, but stills don't provide much of a context, and it's the context that's so important in BDSM, IMO. My point is that such a tour would be like advertising. I'm sure in my case it would make me want to try some stuff I haven' t before.
