Perhaps I don't understand the question. The answer seems obvious - the SP wants a call shortly before the session to ensure that we're both on track. What other meaning could there be? Given the number of times that there is a no-show by one or the other party, it seems a reasonable precaution.

I always do the 1/2 hour before call, jst to make sure no-one's running late, had an emergency, etc. It's respectful to the SP and is a hell of a lot better than being left on the sidewalk waiting......

Your question is a bit vague, but I would think that the escort would like a call to confirm the appointment,,now,,this brings up the question of the time line:rolleyes: Is this one hour before/the day before/a 10 minute warning??

What's with the eyes?;)

That's the thing, it's really out of consideration for the client and SP. I have never had a problem with asking for a confirmation call until today where a potential client actually left his place to go Downtown after being asked to call to confirm first. I was running late and told him so, he lost it on me but I clearly told him (with a witness), "I didn't ask you to come down, I asked you to call to confirm." And now I feel like I'm in the wrong.

Well then,he's just a fucking looser is all, everyone has an off day and gets caught up in real life situations,so what,,you told him you were running late,at least you aknowledged the fact,,just chalk it up to a dippshit:p

Above all communication is the key,I know being on a phone, some things can be missenterpreted just like talking face to face, clear and concise is the best way.

Oh,,the eyes:D Well fuck Steph,,it was a vague question you asked,now we know(besides,I like these smiley guys,,we need more ;) )

Damed I'm a shitty speller ;)

Courtesy and confirmation

It's a good practice to make sure everything that was set up is still all a go. Sps's have lives too and things happen.

Communication

Well, based on your side of the story, there's no reason to feel like you're in the wrong. There was a failure of communication. It happens a lot, sometimes despite the best efforts of both parties. Too bad the guy lost it, but on the bright side, if he's that edgy perhaps it's best that you didn't meet.

I don't like the confirmation call that is 30 minutes before the session. It takes 30 minutes + to get almost anywhere in town. Also, I would like to shower, shave, brush my teeth etc. before I go to a session. I would prefer a confirmation of about 3 hours in advance, and then a call if you or I are running late. Just my opinion.

Good point. Why change if what I've been doing for the past 3 years has worked for me?

Confirmation shortly before an appointment is probably more important for the first encounter than for subsequent ones. Once the client and escort know each other a little and have established a mutual comfort level, it's no longer absolutely necessary, but may still be a good idea in case one of them is delayed.

In addition.......

It may reduce the number of crank appointments. Someone may make a bullshit booking, but if they have to call back some hours or even minutes later they may give up on it.

What I don't like is when they ask you to call "when you get close to the location" before they give you the address.

The reason I ask is because there may be a delay from either persons.

It does eliminate BS calls, and a person you ask to call back that has no intention will give up.

In the meantime, I do take the call seriously and get as ready as I need to and make sure that I can say
'Yes, half hour @ this location..."

Although, I have never been late nor, have I had someone who was REALLY late either. This helps to avoid leaving someone outside your door or in a lobby to wait, which is one of the worst things for an SP to do.

Confirming.....

There is nothing wrong with asking for a confirmation call... No shows are such a piss off:confused: . Like others have said we all have other lives and shit happens just try to not let it get in the way of your poon time. :)
When Im' told no confirmation call is necessary I automaticaly think she is well organized, and wil be ready to roll when I arrive. That has not always been true.

I wish everyone can think this way. Even if it is the lady fault, it is no need to make thing big. After all one wants to meet the lady, but with such an attitude who wants to see such a client! As Eden said, we all play happily in a big sand box!:D

I'm happy to call to confirm an appointment. It helps prevent miscommunication. It's just common courtesy for clients to call when asked. It goes both ways too. I an SP tells me to give her a call at a certain time, I expect her to pick up the phone or at least get in touch with me before that time if there is a problem so I can make alternative plans.

Exactly right about cutting down on crank appointments, steverino.

The caginess with the address is just similar caution: some sps get so many phone calls and only a percentage of those are legitimate inquiries (especially with newspaper ads in my experience) so if ladies aren't readily giving their address out it's probably because they don't want their address available to the people who aren't seriously coming over. Especially if they live there. Also, it helps the sp make sure the 'coast is clear' for you so you don't cross paths with her client who is just leaving or her nosey landlady who is walking her tiny dog out the door but will be gone in a second:p.

Creole Lady Marmalade you sound like a savvy sp, illigitemi non carborundum, sweetie!

I always confirm. I usually book far in advance and tend to confirm day before and/or day of.

It's no biggie to me.

Cuts down on mistakes and misunderstandings (USUALLY).
like you i book far in advance and like the communication the day of the meet to confirm all know when, where, etc.

had one occassion where lady went to wrong hotel and knocked on the room #...surprise...we had a great laugh after.

also found out my meeting for the nite would be delayed and not cancelled just by doing the touch base to confirm all is good.
