I think it’s time to think it out again
I don’t think that Anita is angst or angry or any other derogatory thing that’s been said about her in this thread. But it isn’t pride driving her attitude either. She’s idealistic to the extreme, that’s all.
Part and parcel with her minimum acceptable level of human male conduct is unquestioned monogamy under any circumstances. From her perspective, there is no justifiable explanation for adultery. For her, the vows of marriage, or I suppose any other form of matrimonial commitment, are sacred. Only a very few of us meet that expectation, for whatever reason.
None of that makes Anita an evil or malicious person. However, it does suggest that she would likely be far happier in a loving relationship with one committed man than making a living catering to a number of men, most of whom fall short of her minimum acceptable moral standard.
