I contacted this ( msg for name of wanting ) provider several weeks before my Winnipeg trip to inquire about a social service she advertised, and she confirmed that she offered it. A few days before the scheduled appointment, I reached out again as a reminder and sent a $100 deposit to secure the date and time. Up to this point, everything seemed straightforward, but the communication from her side was already minimal and vague.

On the day of the appointment, just a few hours before the agreed-upon time, I still hadn’t received any confirmation. When I reached out, she gave excuses, claiming she forgot about our arrangement and suddenly didn’t want to go out. This was completely unprofessional, disrespectful.

I tried to rebook the following day, hoping this was a one-time mistake, but she once again provided excuses, failed to follow through, and never returned my deposit. This provider cannot be relied on to honor commitments, communicate responsibly, or respect clients’ time and money.

I’m not sure what the intent behind your review is without naming the provider. Unless you want to get your inbox full of PMs.

There's no problem with dropping the name.
If what you have outlined is true, we appreciate the headsup.
It's better than having us guess or presume.

Edit: Often times these occurances are a prelude to a shift in their behavior, which seems to happen to many after a while of doing this work. It exposes their contempt and helps to protect us perbs from being blindsided.

Drop the name please. It’s bad enough she ghosted you after you set up an appt and again after you tried to rebook - but not communicating after she took a deposit is terrible. Slight chance her life is totally upside down and she’ll get in touch and do the right thing … slight.

Without the name, it’s barely worth noting.

This information is completely fucking useless without a name. This is a god damn review board! The entire purpose of taking part here is to not only benefit from the wisdom and experience of others but to contribute. If it happened then you should have no problem naming the SP involved.
Cheers

I think anyone could guess from this Winnipeg forum who the sp is. She’s like the only LOCAL who asks for a deposit and has had lacklustre reviews. Too bad for OP that he was just visiting Winnipeg and lost his money. Lesson learned and read the forum posts. Stick with only providers that have ALL excellent reviews.
