it just amazes me how people behave - christy mack was dancing around in the lions den actually thinking she was safe ??
hmmm...culpability ???
No one is "culpable" for their ex-boyfriend breaking 18 broken bones around their eyes, breaking their nose in 2 places, knocking out their teeth, fracturing their rib, rupturing their spleen, stabbing them multiple times, sawing off their hair and injuring their leg so badly they can't walk. No one other than the person who did this to her. What he did to her was inexcusable and it is horrible to blame the victim. Poor taste in men on her part or difficulty distancing herself from her abuser is irrelevant.

if you are a skier and enjoy the extreme side of the sport even to a minor degree by frequenting black runs, powder heli skiing etc you know that there are risks involved. Lets say that some combination of incidents leads to your death. Your family sues and the ski resort or some company and wins a wrongful death award. You are still culpable though maybe not 100% in the legal sense. If you had not chosen to participate in a sport that has inherent and obvious risks you would not have died.

Its the pedestrian has the right of way thing and being "dead right"
She knew this guy was dangerous and chose to stay there. He is legally responsible for his actions and she is morally culpable.
assumption on the previous :no way in hell this is the first time it happened - just not to that degree
War Machine (German/Mexican breed- dangerous combination?)=Pit Bull=Bred to fight/bite/kill?

WTF?!. Not even a close comparison. Every pitbull that I've encountered (and I've met a lot of them) has been the sweetest of dogs. Yes they have the "potential" to be tough motherfuckers, but all of them are loyal and lovable slobbering pups. Are there pitbulls who are violent? Of course and tha'ts due to the owners/breeders. Is this to say that War Machine's trainers are to blame? probably not. He's not a robot. He made the decision to go apeshit on his ex-gf.

That's an interesting point, however I feel it's a false analogy. I also think it's ironic that you say it's her fault because she chose to stay with him when from what I have read it appears that the reason she broke up with him was due to his abuse and that it was likely that the reason he chose to beat the shit out of her was because she had broken up with him (and appeared to be moving on).

Do you feel an escort is culpable if she is beaten by a client she turned down? Is a convenience store employee culpable if he is stabbed by a robber? Is a 19 year old culpable if his alcoholic father beats him for covertly listening to Nine Inch Nails after he told him not to? Is a woman who is raped by a stranger while walking down a dark street alone culpable?

Victim-blaming is extremely dangerous because it not only enables abusers like War Machine to disavow responsibility for their behaviour and society and law enforcement to turn a blind eye, but it discourages victims like Christy Mack from reporting abuse, seeking help and leaving abusive situations. Being made to feel like it is their fault when someone harms them only encourages them to put up with the abuse, it does not empower them to avoid abusive people/relationships or do things to increase their safety. It may offer you some comfort, since it allows you to reassure yourself that you and your loved ones will never experience such violence because you believe you/they are not like Mack - wouldn't "put yourself/themselves" in such a situation.

Culpability requires agency, free will and conscious choice.

To the extent that Mack is culpable we are all culpable.

There are several bounties out on War Machine’s head, including from Pawn Stars‘ Corey Harrison, who has put up a 10 grand reward, and sex toy company Fleshlight has put up $5,000 of their own for any information which leads to the capture of War Machine.

Christy Mack

When I heard about this news and seeing the pictures I was really shocked.
My heart goes out to Christy Mack such a pretty young female. I watched
a news report on it and they interviewed Jenna Jameson by phone. She said
she was leaving the hospital from seeing Christy. I'm glad she has great supportive
friends for at this time in her life. So far they have raised 30,000 for her
reconstructive surgery. I hope she is on the road to wellness and has a full filling
life ahead of her.

Hearing War Machine Animal was captured I hope he gets the maximum penalty from
the court of law.

anyone that new of him prior to all of this might know he was always a bit crazy
according to some sources he grew up in an abusive environment not that its a reason but he was never an ideal human
that was the reason he was let go from the UFC

as for violence begets more violence. somewhat true
but from someone that has trained and fought a few times, I speak for myself and those close to me that its a form of competition
I see violence as anger/will/power forced upon another that is not willing
being that anyone the steps into a ring is willing its not the same, its a brutal sport yes but I dont see it violent
If I was playing hockey and got slashed in the head while skating away I see that as violence as I didnt sign up for that nor is it part of the game

MMA still isnt to far from the image of human cock fighting and it doesnt help that many mma fighters pro/ama look like complete douche bags with the tattoos and hair cuts

I feel for Christy Mack, maybe not the best choice to stay with him after he has done it more then once
but she nor does any human deserve what was done to her for her actions.

Yep, the police got him, good!!
Poor Dog, no bounty, maybe the Fleshlight company will give him a product as a runner up prize.

I'm glad he chose not to go quietly.
I've listened to a couple interviews he has given before all this. One with Joe Rogan.
Its clear he has an IQ of around 70-80.

Of course its always a good idea to try to fight the cops when the arrest you, since most of the time it means you get away and they forget about you.
That was sarcasm.

nahhh... he's hoping that getting tasered during his arrest will buy him some brownie (pun intended?) points with the REAL bad guys in the slammer :fear:
