I've had three home invasions.
The first two were about three years apart.
A horse and cow have let themselves into my house, when the door wasn't latched right.
Then about 4 years ago, a drunk neighbor let himself into my house, in the middle of the night.....and I don't think he'll ever do that again.
Drunk or sober.

I had a home invasion this morning. The back door was open. The neighbor's adolescent dog tried to walk in for a visit. Our grey-muzzled dog, lacking patience for impertinent youth, took exception to this. It was a teachable moment.

a man tried to do this at my place years ago. He was successful in attacking a few women in downtown Kamloops but never managed to hurt anyone. When he entered my home he was greeted by my black unnuetered shepard/wolf/rottie cross that slept on the black rug by the door. I don't think my boy liked being awoken by a strange man stepping on him in his territory

Just Awesome!
It is funny how those giant dogs will act....when stepped on in their sleep.
People will be amazed when I tell them there isn't a need to lock my doors, even while sleeping at night.
I'll invite them to go look through the glass on my front door......and they see several drooling Mastiff's looking back at them.
Almost every time they will avoid even touching the door handle ......unless they are women, they always want to say hello, ....and have their crotch checked out.

Sounds like you have trained your dog like a truffle hunter
