I've read the spector and Id be very dissapointed if they resign kesler for this figure. I agree there isnt much room in the salary cap and not sure why we signed salo for so many years especially when he constantly gets injured.
i don't know what salo's contract is like (where do I find that info?)
but I wouldn't be surprised to see him packaged in some kind of
deal to move some dead wood ...
Nonis said in an interview that there was a lot of interest in Salo from
other teams so maybe Nonis signed him to trade him rather than lose
him to free agency and nothing.
Since Philly was so interested in Kesler, maybe a deal to take him,
Salo and ??? for ??? (get some size back in trade???)
The bonus is a lot of salary cap freed up by dumping two players.
Salo makes $3.5 million and Kesler makes $1.9 million ... toss in Naslund
and you could free up between $8 and $12 million dollars!!!!
