Found on vice.com. Interesting article on the sex trade & cam shows as a way to afford overpriced Vancouver. https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/what-its-like-to-use-sex-work-to-afford-living-in-vancouver
This was a quote from an interview with an escort. It's an opinion, not necessarily a fact (and it is not). The one sentence in that article that I would strongly disagree with is this one
quote If men want to make absurd amounts of money in a short time they can go into construction,"
Looked way too high even if taking City of Vancouver only. I checked their source, and sure, they have lots of AirBnB listings mixed in their data.According to one rental report, the average one bedroom went for $1,820 in December
It's easier to whine and feel sorry for themselves than do something about their situation.they won't leave to better their own lives.
Instead they stay and struggle to survive and are miserable doing it.
sounds nice mmm...probably has to do with social media nowadays too, people want to have the best of everything so they can brag about it on social media and instagram...just my theory I thought up of right nowIt's easier to whine and feel sorry for themselves than do something about their situation.
resercher is right, construction is fucking hard. That girl is an idiot. And I see girls doing construction so she is dead wrong on that too.
I moved to Winnipeg. Modest 1200 sq ft bungalow, large double garage, nice treed lot, quiet neighbours, nice neighbourhood.
Paid off mortgage twenty years ago.
Tons of disposable income and no debts.
There is life outside Vancouver. And it's better.
I'd argue in this day and age the real money is found in cities like San Francisco or wherever there is a heavy presence of technology development complete with loads of single males that need to get laid.It is logical. They gravitate to where the weather is most hospitable and the men have the most money. Bay Street, Wall Street, Howe Street.

Agreed. I think Vancouver and Montreal are the top 2 Canadian cities on the world stage.Vancouver the name or image still has a highly regarded prestige name in Asia and maybe Europe. Its a destination city always has been for foreigners. In Canada there is only 3 to 4 cities people want to move to. And only 1 with a tolerable winter.
Ha, guess you've never lived in any other city outside of Canada. Vancouver is nothing special. Montreal is tolerable in the summer only, and failing infrastructure all around.Agreed. I think Vancouver and Montreal are the top 2 Canadian cities on the world stage.
Actually I have, but I'll address your concern. I said "Vancouver and Montreal are the top 2 Canadian cities on the world stage". I did not say they were the TOP cities, I said they were the top 2 Canadiancities. They could be at number 200 on the world stage but as far as this country goes this is what we have. You also didn't quantify how you measured "world class". Is it based on infrastructure? Is it based on culture & arts? Is it based on economics?Ha, guess you've never lived in any other city outside of Canada. Vancouver is nothing special. Montreal is tolerable in the summer only, and failing infrastructure all around.
Neither city is even in the top 10 on the world stage.
