Well said. This is the best comment here. Perb, way back was never like this. Take a peak at the views on all other lounge topics. Very little participation.

https://perb.cc/xenforo/forums/the-lounge.4/

This, and the Canadian thread have the most comments. I honesty believe this thread has become beyond exhausted and for quite some time it become a tennis match with no substance. He said she said only. . A lot of children -- cry babies here . And your right....it's the same people over and over again. Who knows, they could be multiple handles. I find it hard to believe that many of these posters are not tired and bored of this. Its time to accept it, give it chance and see what happens. Move on. If not....Must be very old seniors here passing their time on this with nothing else to do. I think these to political threads should have its own section. This has become beyond obsession with many.

Take care

I'm just wondering, do you all participate in other sites or forums to discuss these topics? This seems like an unusual platform for political debates.

It feels like a group of 10 to 20 people taking turns to circle jerk each other while "dunking" on those with differing views by reiterating the same old unoriginal talking points.

I find it hard to believe that any of you would talk to someone like this in real life. If you were truly moral paragons and geniuses, you wouldn't dedicate your whole day to this forum, and you'd also engage on other platforms where you might face criticism. This place makes Reddit seem like a bastion of free speech.

Some of ya'll need to get laid 😂

Ahh, I was hoping to get away from being judged for yapping. So much for free speech, and I am a R. I thought D or lefty like to give everyone a voice without judgement.
Have you guys ever seen me insult anyone or put them down? I don't care enough about you to be honest.

Exactly, working the sympathy angle to get laid. We can't all afford the rates out there, so try to strike a cord with one or more of the ladies and see if any will feel sorry for you.:p:p

I also have doubts about the so called " missing democrat voters of 2024". Trump was labeled a bad president in 2020 due to the handling of covid and the economy. This time around much worse. Hitler, fascist, pure evil, dictator and fewer Democrats rallied agains that? To the tune of 15 million? You mean they cared more about a bad covid handler than democracy and personal freedoms? You can't tell me 2020 was straight up.
January 6th hadn't happened in 2020 yet. And it's been his own VP pick who called him America's Hitler, since then. I think in 2020, people were extra motivated by seeing just how bad of a president he had just been. We're far enough away from that that people don't really take it that seriously, and think of him as another joke candidate who didn't stand a huge chance.

I think you are right, the soap opera is now Arizona. How is Kari Lake losing? Trump won AZ easily. People vote the same party line and she is losing to Democrat Gallego. You can see a ballot and if youre a D or R everyone else with a D or R gets the same vote. They are cheating, just like the last time Kari Lake lost when her opponent Kati Hobbs was in charge of the AZ elections and refused to excuse herself from that role.
Kari Lake is losing because she is despicable and I think Republicans didn't want the people to vote for women. Really, I cannot believe that Republicans are whining if not every single MAGA turd doesn't get elected. Donald Trump is a truly loathsome and despicable person. But take your joy in the victory in electing this scum. Revel in it. Scream it from the top of the mountains how grateful you are that the US has put this person and his minions into power.

People here have been harsh on Trump and he deserves it. Have they been brutal on his proponents. Not really, how? Because they didn't want to go with your view or predictions. The US now has the person they elected and I hope he does everything he has promised to the US. I just wish he didn't have the power of the US to screw all the rest of us in the world. And he will.

just like the first time around... the Trump term will be all about offending people in order to get unrelenting media presence.

even i feel i missed it... that it wasn't worthwhile even criticizing his policies since they weren't going to happen anyways. nothing that Trump said he would do the first term ever happened aside from tax cuts for the rich and pumping the markets. he said he did them. he will always say he was successful.

what Trump will be able to accomplish this term is completely obfuscate the reality around whats happening. so, he'll deport a few thousand immigrants... realize that businesses are tanking because of the lack of labour, families are being separated or actual US citizens being deported. then he'll announce that millions have been deported and "job done". the difference this time is that he'll have everyone in government involved using their sharpies to add zeros onto government reports.

same with tariffs. same with foreign policy. etc.

again, good time to sink more money into the markets. i'm making a killing at the moment. people who supported Trump but don't have that kind of capital are suckers.

Yup, that's the best thing about Trump. He's so completely inept, and easily distracted by fighting with any random person, every day of the week, that he's not really able to get much of anything done.

He is going to hand it over to Vance in year 1 to 2. You guys mocked me when I say he would win months ago. I stand even firmer with this prediction.

Among the Hill People
If the incoming regime is as anti - sex work as has been claimed, I expect we will see some economic refugees in Canada, perhaps on these very pages!
I, for one, welcome their new insect overlords, in that case.

I see that the "Orange man bad" echo chamber is still going strong.

Apparently 75 million Americans preferred the fascist rapist over the word salad lady.

Besides myself, who could have predicted such a shocking outcome?

Reveals a lot about America, don't you think? A lot of Germans loved Hitler, that didn't turn out well in the end for their country.

Some media people are self reflecting on Kamala's loss and what they might have been able to do to stem the tide.

Whether he is still working there a few months from now will be a serious indicator of whether or not enough of them are willing to. Right wingers are going to be hoping they just keep treading down the same path which lost them the popular vote, Presidency, the Senate, the House, huge increases in Red votes in Blue states like New York and California, increases amongst every minority group and women.

Just keep ignoring that while calling Trump a nazi and bringing in paid out of touch celebrity shills instead of dealing with hard core issues that actually affect peoples lives and you will see the same result only worse in 2028.

Trump as Hitler is one of the lazier and more laughable narratives perpetuated by the anti Trump crowd.

Just a reminder, Trump was President from 2016 to 2020.

I don't remember him invading any countries or putting people in camps.

He didn't try to arrest any of his political opponents either.

When you throw around terms like "Nazi" and "fascist" in relation to Trump, it just makes you look ignorant.

It's also an insult to the people that suffered under the real Nazis and fascists.

Yes, from 2016 to 2020 he was incompetent in realizing his goals.

Hitler didn't initially put people into camps either.

I am not ignorant, just calling a spade a spade.

My father suffered directly under the Nazis as did my family. My father warned me that they would be back. As for others in my family who suffered under the Nazis, yes, they call him a Nazi as I do.

Don't lecture to me. Just enjoy that you have your filth on the throne.

Tell that to JP Vance, his VP pick:

the democrats failed by trying to keep both the well off and poor happy. all they had to do was announce a $20 minimum wage and they probably would have won.

its unfortunate that political parties seem to think that some fabricated ideology is a necessity for their survival. i guess it is... and the "left" ideology has been winning for too long. there had to be a backlash from young white men at some point. i think Scott Galloway nails it... that women have been killing it the past two decades (thus the Incel movement). that the focus is entirely on groups that have been disenfranchised for decades etc... and that young males have been finding it harder to mate, make a living and be taken seriously.

The REAL Reason MEN VOTED for TRUMP… | Scott Galloway

the fact that Trump is going to do nothing for those young males is the stupid part. fuck the stupid i guess.
