My call.....republicans take both the house and senate. Obviously, it can change but that is my call. However, large chance we might not know until few days after Tuesday.
I agree. Most people aren't buying the Democrat's argument that the Republicans are a threat to democracy. They just repeat their talking points and hope people don't notice their mishandling of the economy.
They're also soft on crime and don't seem to mind the millions of illegal immigrants flooding across the border.
I was never a Trump fan but Biden makes Jimmy Carter look good. After tomorrow it won't matter how senile he is because he won't have much power to make any major policy decisions.

Couldn't agree more. The economy at the end of day is what matters. It's why all of go to work everyday and invest so to secure ones future. Hoping anyway.
Agree, and a much younger leader would be fresh. These old seniors need to stepping aside imho. The results, certainly, did not pan out as I expected. Reps will take the house by a slight margin while the Senate could be evenly split, or a very thin line win for the Democrats. Either way it looking like there will be a " tug n pull " scenario at the table for the next 2 years. Another words....dead money floating around.
9 times out of 10 the sitting president's party gets clobbered in midterms. Just how it works, being a way to vent dissatisfaction.
This time around, that didn't happen, probably due to the whole anti-abortion menace, the 2020 denier / insurgent menace, and Trump looming over 2024 like a vulture wanting seconds.
Trump needs to shuffle off into disgraced retirement, but I am betting he won't. That brontosaurus sized ego just won't let him accept a loss. Scumbag may be losing his leadership of the crazy crew to one of his ambitious underlings. Should make a bitter contest.
Biden is not exactly crippled by the result, but certainly was better off a week ago. I hope he & the Dems take the lack of positivity as a sign that he's not their best 2024 bet. (50-50 chance he realizes it at best.)
As others have said, time for the younger ones to push the elders off the cliff, or be mentors like Sanders rather than trying to be the face of their respective franchises.
Meanwhile all the court battles and accusations of rigging will delay the final result by at least another week. The dumpster fire keeps burning.

There's lots of things in politics that should be a given, but somehow ain't.
My favourite headline of the result would be something like:
"Election denier denied, denies it".

When it comes down to it. There's so much more involved that you, myself and everyone else here will ever know. AND....it doesn't matter to any of us here what we say or feel about it. It is what it is and for some people in life, certain " ordeals " will simply be avoided. It is what it is....politics!!

I thought it looked pretty similar to what Saddam Hussein did.
But I was wrong, it's not malicious.
Several older videos show a similar thing. He gets invited everywhere out of respect for his former status. He has Alzheimer's or dementia and sometimes gets confused and ends up having to be escorted out. In the recent one he thought he was still in charge, he tried to get Xi's notes and run the meeting himself.
