Isn’t there an international politics thread?
It's supposed to be a US political thread but turned with the help of a few of us into an Israel Palestine conflict exchange....And since historical facts are being dismissed why carry on here when another thread should be open to debate it .

That's the reason i suggested to resume talking about US politics.

Lol Could such a thread be warranted after a few difficulties coming to an understanding and common ground about that little strip of land disputed for the last 3400 years after the Canaan lost it ?

I'll let you start it and give it its title...😁 The thread i mean 👍👌

It’s already started? I was just commenting on people arguing here should go argue there. Seeing as how this thread is USA.

It might look like I like to fight sometimes here on perb lol. But I’m very much a pacifist snd anti war. I have zero interest in starting any threads that don’t involve fun things.

I would never knock pacifism, however wars do have to be fought.
The are always an aggressors and defenders, and as much as one might wish to dis-way an aggressor, history shows an aggressor is going to do what an aggressor does.

To add to my above post:

In the Mahabharata, the central reason for the war is to uphold "Dharma," which translates to righteous conduct, meaning the Pandavas must fight against the Kauravas to reclaim their rightful kingdom that was unjustly taken from them, even though it involves fighting against their own family, because allowing injustice to persist is considered a greater wrong than engaging in war to correct it.

The above statement also alludes to the position that if a bystander witnesses a woman being graped and does nothing, that is defined as a greater evil than kicking the living hell out of the perpetrator.

" The above statement also alludes to the position that if a bystander witnesses a woman being graped (sic) and does nothing, that is defined as a greater evil than kicking the living hell out of the perpetrator."
The complicity in my opinion of so much of what is going on is the single greatest evil in mankind.

I agree, however it is much more than complicity.
Complicity is just one component of many.

I fully believe in self defense and in protecting the weak.

i think my reply was too simple. I’m a pacifist but I also believe those that are quiet in the face of oppression are complicit in the act of oppression themselves. I think most wars are absolute bullshit.

I long for a world that isn’t so capitalist and violent.

if trump tries to make Canada a 51st state, I would resist in whatever way i could. But not because I am overly proud to be Canadian and I believe in borders but because I really don’t want to belong to such a toxic country as the USA. It’s a complicated world we live in that’s for sure. Ideals are all well and good until your back is against the wall. And then what? lol.

haha really?

that is the reason for climate problems Elon

TOO MANY FUCKING PEOPLE ON THE PLANET

1 to 8 billion in basically 100 years

all spewing emissions

population collapse?

the world didn't exist when there were only 2 billion?

that's the same stupid ideology that we need to bring on the debt everytime there is a small crisis

instead of a correction

if the population dropped by 6 billion tomorrow

people would adapt, prices would eventually settle, wages, everything

this idiotic idea that we need more and more people

that's what's causing all the problems in the world right now

less people, less problems, people will still trade, eat, shit

our idiot politicians, "experts" keep trying to tell us we need more immigrants to keep the boomers in the lifestyle they never paid for

OUR FUCKING ECONOMY SUCKS NOW, WITH MORE PEOPLE THAN EVER BEFORE

EXPONENTIAL MATH, IT APPLIES TO PEOPLE TOO

DIMINISHING RETURNS, DIMINISHING RETURNS

THAT'S THE PROBLEM, BALANCE

like Douglas Murray said

'you think all those immigrants are never going to get old"

then what?

you keep bringing in 1 million a year? 2? 4?

it's not a solution, it's lazy, stupid

then like Elon you got to move to Mars, cause the planet can't handle 14 billion

or have you never heard that we're using 1.5X the resources that the earth can reproduce yearly, without depleting them?

population collapse hahaha

yeah, that's a problem
Pretty sure the world could have 14 billion, the rich won't be rich anymore. Now that I find very funny.

Elon wants to go Mars, because the rich can not pick up and move as they have done in the past, where the land is toxic.

After barely two weeks of this shit, is anyone wishing that kid in Butler was a better shot?
Pretty sure that kid got nowhere near Trump with a bullet.... When you are on target, your bullets go up and down due to breathing, not side to side. Yet I have seen no diagram on the trajectory from shooter to Trump, to the people killed. And that movement of Trump putting his hand in the air, very unnatural for Trump to do so, Cause I have never seen him ever do that movement before. People are creatures of habit. That jesture is not a habit for Trump.
So if anybody has seen a trajectory diagram, pls let me know or post a link.

And yet Israel is the one bombing, murdering, abusing, raping and committing war crimes against the Palestinians like barbarians, while Israel remains largely untouched. 🙄
Really how would you react to for your whole life, avoiding bombs in stuffed animals, rockets shot into Israel, every 15 /20 years a country tries to invade your country. You end up hating them. So the answear is to eliminate them.
HAMAS could of built up Gaza, built more hospitals and schools, employ people to help with rebuilding an economy. Build green areas.
No Israel built on land that was discarded by everyone, turned it into green land, water conservation etc. built an economy, used the money it got from the the US to build a better society. Invested in technology that could stop the terrorist attacks.

Gotta look at pictures of Gaza before and after and tell us what amount of collateral damage is acceptable in a conflict.

There's hatred on both sides and nobody is squeaky clean. Both sides have been playing the disinformation game since the 40s for the Israelis and the 60s for the Palestinians.

Yes Hamas says stuff like death to the last jew but look carefully at what Israel does to subjugate the Palestinians and take over their homes and territory without prejudice.
All the while reminding ourselves that the kill ratio for Israel was 15 to 1 in the past few decades until now where its 30 to 1 .

What does common sense dictate ? Exterminate one side for the good of the other which we all know is unfathomable or compromise like in any conflict in a civilized world ?
In the 20 and 30s muslim extremists were killing the moderate muslims. Bitching about people that took their land..... Kind like Aboriginals I know.

so how many times have they rejected land deals?

how many times have they tried to exterminate the Jews?

who elected Hamas?

how many of them did you see standing up to the Hamas Islamists, their Fathers, Grandfathers, Brothers, Cousins, Sons, Friends, Neighbours?

did you see any on video asking, demanding they give back the hostages to end it?

not seen them, the mob, cheering on the parading of the hostages, the propaganda circus in the last weeks?

yeah, great people

LINK A CLIP OF THEM OVERWHELMINGLY DEMANDING THE RELEASE OF THE HOSTAGES, EVEN MENTIONING THEIR WELFARE, THEIR HUMANITY?

JUST ONE?

THEN THE MENTION OF THE RAPES, MUTILATING, ECT... FROM OCT 7TH

GO THE WEST BANK AND TRY AND ASK THEM TOO ABOUT IT ALL

GREAT PEOPLE THAT'S HOW THEY COME ACROSS

EVEN THE OTHER ARABS DON'T WANT THEM IN THEIR MIDST

OR HAVE YOU ALSO NOT HEARD THAT FACT?

REALITY MAKES THAT JUDGEMENT

PAST/NOW ACTIONS, WORDS

SURE THERE ARE A MINORITY WHO AREN'T LIKE THAT

BUT THEY ARE IN THE MAJORITY, BY A LONG SHOT

POLL AFTER POLL

DECADE AFTER DECADE

AND YOU DIDN'T SEE THEM ON THE STREETS OF CANADA IN THE LAST YR+?

GUESS YOU THINK RUSSIANS ARE ALL FINE PEOPLE TOO?

WHO'VE ALSO NEVER KNOWN REAL DEMOCRACY, ALWAYS BEEN UNDER THE THUMB OF DICTATORS IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER

THAT'S PRETTY MUCH THE NUMBER ONE SIGN OF A PEOPLE'S

"REASONABLENESS"
Jordan kicked out the Palestinians because they were trouble makers, the Palestinians then went to Lebanon, which is now a failed state. Anybody seeing pattern here....

I would stop oppressing them and subjecting them to inhumane conditions, and then cheering when they give me any reason to revert back to acting like barbarians towards them trying to steal more of their land. Clearly Israel gets enough money and military equipment from the US that all of these attacks against them are impotent. It's like using a nuclear bomb against someone throwing stones at you.

Again, the way that they've acted through all of this is completely shameless and inhumane.

Apparently you like your neighbours to keep throwing stones into your yard, and occassionally you and your family get hit by these stones. You obviously like these stones hitting your family as you don't retaliate.

After awhile no matter your philosophy, you are going to burn your neighbours house down, with him inside of it.

It is a simple fucken case of "I have had enough of your fucken shit".

Poke the bear long enough, its going to fucken maul you to death....

Pretty much the HAMAS and the people of Gaza are really fucken stupid. Because they keep poking the bear.

Bear with me a bit, I do not live in Israel, but ever since I became aware of world events in the 80s, Israel has be in conflict with its neighbours. My solution at the time was to make Israel a glass parking lot (nukem all). Israel has been asking for peace from its neighbours since 1948, and after so many years, time after time, some country/or individual continues to throw rocks that hurt them.... Yeah the bear has been poked too many times.....

Now I think Israel should give the Gaza people a choice. End the crusade/jihad or commit mass suicide....

The thing is it has always been the choice of the Palestinians to poke the bear and continue the war. They have never chosen to live with their neighbours in peace...

As for the "Liberal Bleeding Hearts" saying women, children and babies on the Palestinian side are being killed. Those same women, children and babies are hiding the HAMAS fighters in the camps. Nobody on the Gaza side is saying stop this unnecessary war, and we will no longer commit acts of terror on you Israel. They want the war to stop killing Palestinians, so they can build up and do more terrorist things against Israel in the future.

As for allowing Gazan refugees into Canada. NO F'en WAY!!! Muslim countries don't want them, because they make trouble, like to blow things up and assassinate people. So no, they are not for CANADA.
