Ive been in logistics over 40 years in CAF and civvy street. I know what Panamax is without googling it.What are you even talking about - plenty of LNG tankers (right now) transit the Panama Canal. An LNG tanker is no different (generally speaking) than any other tanker. It's LNG - L as in liquefied, as in a LIQUID. If there are "tankers" transiting through the Canal, an LNG tanker can also transit the canal. It's a tanker, which is basically a box and like a box it can be scaled UP or DOWN. Tankers are designed with routes in mind, therefore if transiting through the Panama Canal is a requirement - they build them to a size so that it can transit the Canal. If I were a betting man, I would wager the vast majority of LNG tankers in the world CAN transit the Canal.
