So, some disgruntled Remainer’s blog is supposed to be a definitive, and unbiased observation?
The following are some of the trade deals done so far. More, obviously will be coming, and none, with the possible exception of fishing rights has been a negative for Britain. The current fiasco around the EU’s Covid vaccine failures, have increased support for Brexit. The Remoaners continually try to find ways to show their doom and gloom predictions weren’t total crap.
LIZ TRUSS, the international trade secretary, has hailed the signing of a trade deal with Jordan.
In a tweet she said the pact would "build on our £561m trading relationship" and open up "more opportunities for UK businesses". She said sectors which stood to benefit hugely from the deal included education, healthcare, biometrics, aviation, retail and technology. The UK imports metal roes, mechanical power generators, clothing, vegetables and general inustrial machinery from the Middle Eastern nation.
The UK signed a deal with Japan on 22 October - the first that differed from an existing EU deal. The total value of UK-Japan trade (imports and exports) was £31.6bn in 2019, or 2% of the UK's total trade.
On 31 January, the UK government announced it would apply to join a free trade area with 11 Asia and Pacific nations called the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Current members include Australia, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
Separately, the UK government is also holding trade talks with the US, Australia and New Zealand.
And none of this precludes major deals with either the EU, or individula EU nations.
