According to the leftist media President Trump referred to Haiti as well as some African countries as "shitholes" during a Whitehouse meeting.This factoid was supposedly disclosed to a journalist who works for the Washington Post by somebody that has close ties to the Trump administration and is privvy to Whitehouse policy discussions(yeah that is credible) and that person decided to leak the details to the BIASED leftist media.

Is Haiti as a country a "shithole"? damn right it is.From the 1950's it was ruled by Papa Doc Duvalier as a dictatorship.He consolidated power throughout his tenure and held false elections(pretty hard to vote for someone else when he was the only name on the ballot) not to mention the atrocities he comitted whilst not only in power but to hold on to power.When he snuffed it his son Jean-Claude Duvalier(Baby Doc) took hold of the reigns of power and ran Haiti as president from 1971-ish to 1986 when he was deposed and fled the country(with millions upon millions of hard currency looted from the Haiti treasury) and during his time as president he acted/dictated in the same fashion as his father....meaning people got arrested or just vanished etc not to mention the theft of money for his benefit.

So to recap we have a dictator who clung to power until his death and then his son took over and during that time political opponents were either arrested or killed.The populace that was supposed to have electoral choice was fucked over and the living conditions were total crap.......sounds like a "SHITHOLE" to me.......add in those same conditions or storyline for pretty much the majority of nation states in the continent of Africa and yeah they get the "SHITHOLE" label as well.

I am so fricken sick of this constant whining by the Leftist media that has constantly been happening after that evil witch Hilary LOST the election.No I dont think Trump is the messiah and to be honest I think his handlers have fucked up from day 1 but when it comes down to it he was the lesser choice of 2 evils......god knows how fucked the USA would be after 4 years of Killary in charge.

Once again.....is Haiti a "shithole"......is Uganda a "shithole"?....is not most of Africa a "shithole"?......damn right it is......I dont see millions of people wanting to emigrate to those countries.

I have been to those countries you've named, and yes the Governments are the shitheads, making it into a shithole.
Yet those countries have beautiful, and decent people in them, that the majority that flee that situation, run to give their families a better life....and yes some of the trash makes it in with the authentic refugees and immigrants.
The problem is with a comment like that, from someone elected into power...is that his personal opinions should be put aside, to govern the majority that elected him.
When a comment like that is made, the world sees it, and paints the US people, with the same brush...just as Trump has done to less fortunate countries ,with his comment.
The man is not a Diplomat, and strives to make the US a separate protected world on its own.....and not a part of the rest of the world......and that ,may be his undoing.

Trump is generally an all-round asshole, and has publically made idiotic comments and tweets, but in this instance it's only CLAIMED he said this by political opponents. There is no direct quote from Trump, or a recording. It was also a behind closed doors meeting.

I've been in meetings where all kinds of language was used that company spokespeople would never dare say in public.

While many of those countries do have problems he should be concentrating on improving the lives of his own citizens who live in areas of the USA one could refer to as "shit holes."

When you are the Leader of the USA or as some say the Leader of the Free World you simply cannot say certain things.

It's not 'according to the leftist media', it's according to Trump...Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Senator (R) even called him on the carpet for those remarks. As much as his base would like us to believe that it's some conspiracy led by the media, there's far too much evidence provided by Trump himself for that argument. Is he a racist? yes. Bigot? yes. Misogynist? absolutely. Unfortunately, we've made our bed.

Please provide a link, or the recording, because from my searches, I've found no news outlet in the world that claims to have a recording of that meeting. I'd think, if there was a recording, it would be allover CNN every hour on the hour. So, that begs the questions, what did the CBC play, what did they claim and what did you hear?

If anyone claims they don't refer to some part or other in the world (no particular reference from me to any country from this thread...), as a shithole, at least to their close friends, they're lying. Now if a politician or a diplomat does it, maybe not the right choice of words. If said in a private meeting or amongst friends of said diplomat, maybe not so bad. And generally not that big a deal anyway. CNN will report on this for 3 months.

They had a woman anchor, and then changed to a male reading the alleged statement, which I thought was Trump from the context.
